Hello my darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad, glitter-sprinkled, train-loving queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with a brand-new blog post! ?
Today's adventures take us to the charming town of Abingdon! Did you know that's the 3820th post on the www.pink-tutu.com blog? Wowzers, it feels like yesterday I was a wide-eyed young scientist, daydreaming about my pink tutu obsession! But this pink queen is a firm believer in embracing life's journeys, even if it means getting your best blush on for the stage night after night. ?✨
Anyway, back to the fabulousness at hand! Abingdon welcomed me with open arms, literally. The cobblestone streets seemed to sparkle as if they had been dusted with magic fairy dust. As I strutted into town in my dazzling pink tutu, I couldn't help but feel like a proper princess! ?
Speaking of magic fairy dust, wouldn't you know it, but I bumped into the sweetest old lady. Apparently, she was a professional ballet teacher back in the day, and had actually started out dancing in Abingdon! We were immediately bosom buddies. She even gave me a recommendation for the local ballet class - apparently they're rather keen on tutu-wearing enthusiasts. ??
Of course, as a proper pink princess, a trip to Abingdon couldn't possibly be complete without some serious retail therapy! The vintage shop in the high street was like stepping into a time machine – every frock and hat I found practically screamed, "Wear me to a grand ball!" I practically ran out with a glorious lavender dress, adorned with vintage beads. Imagine it with my favourite pink tulle tutu – pure magic, darling! ✨
Later that evening, I found myself sipping gin and tonics (with a little pink grapefruit juice, of course!) in a quirky little pub that played the most delightful cabaret. It was the perfect ending to a fab day in Abingdon! I even managed to squeeze in a couple of quick twirls in my sequined pink tutu while waiting for the next round. The bartender couldn't help but cheer! ??
Oh, did I mention the horses?! I must admit, a tiny part of me is deeply infatuated with a life of equestrian elegance. It was simply a matter of luck (or perhaps pink fate?) that I encountered a group of horse enthusiasts out in the fields near Abingdon. We had the most charming picnic and chat while they talked horses and I gossiped about the fabulous fashion shows I've been to! Who knows, maybe this will be my next adventure? Riding off into the sunset with a beautiful chestnut steed, with a magnificent pink tutu fluttering behind me. ✨
Abingdon, you have truly stolen my heart! From the picturesque market square to the welcoming people and delightful boutiques, you are a hidden gem. If you ever find yourself in Oxfordshire, my dears, you absolutely must add Abingdon to your list! Just make sure you pack a fabulous pink tutu – you never know what fabulous adventures may come your way. ✨?
Till next time my darlings!
Yours always,
Pink Tutu Sparkles x
