But before we get lost in the sartorial splendor, let me tell you how I even got here! A little birdie (a VERY glamorous birdie) whispered about an incredible dance competition, a chance for a fabulously talented queen like me to shine, to twirl her way into stardom! Naturally, a Pink Tutu Sparkles gotta be where the dance is! I hopped on the trusty old steam engine (love a good train journey!) and in a flash of sparkly pink tulle, I arrived at Paddington Station, my heart beating like a drum!
Now, London's a city for walking. Not the sweaty, gym kind of walking. This is an elegant promenade, my darling, with a pink tutu and matching clutch in tow, my eyes darting around like a magpie in a jewellery store! Each shop window a different scene of gorgeous fashion! It's enough to make a girl swoon!
And oh! Darling! Let me tell you about the stores! They are everything a pink-loving drag queen dreams of. My inner fashionista practically burst! Think of it as a whimsical wonderland of fabrics, colours and, of course, sparkle! I even found this darling vintage shop selling the most divine tutus! Oh, how I yearned to bring home the entire collection but alas, only so much space in a suitcase! And not even mention the most magnificent feather boa selection you've ever seen!
Then came the evening. London is full of sparkle, with dazzling theatre performances and jaw-dropping shows! But for me, it was a truly special occasion! My love of ballet meant the Royal Opera House had to be on the agenda. Oh darling, I could just die! Imagine being surrounded by elegant ballerinas twirling like silk threads! It's inspiring, my love, utterly inspiring!
That evening I had the pleasure of seeing Sleeping Beauty, and let me tell you, those tutus! Absolutely spectacular! My heart simply couldn't handle it! But I got a little overwhelmed in my excitement! Imagine this: I was watching the ballet, my face glowing like a neon sign with wonder, when I heard a tap on the shoulder. I turned and gasped – it was none other than the renowned Prima Ballerina, Dame Diana! * I must confess I nearly fainted with the sheer delight. Picture this: me, in a sea of rainbow sequins and glittering tinsel, a fuchsia-tutu bouncing with each pirouette, my hair like a cascade of cotton candy. It was extra, darling! The crowd roared, cheered, threw flowers! I danced, twirled, glittered, sparkled... and won the crown, obviously! The feeling, oh my goodness! There was confetti and champagne and cheers, I’m sure everyone could hear my joyful shrieks a mile away!
