Hastings: A Tutu-licious Trip!

Helloooo darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to take you on a whirlwind tour of Hastings! This fabulous seaside town is just brimming with charm and seaside magic, perfect for a tutu-wearing queen like myself.

Before we get into the sparkly details, let’s rewind to how I got here! You see, this fabulously fabulous girl got the train down from Derbyshire - and what an adventure that was! Imagine, Pink Tutu Sparkles on a train, looking perfectly fabulous in my signature pink tutu, of course. It’s like a personal catwalk! Luckily, all eyes were on me, mesmerized by the magic of this fabulous pink frock, and not at all focused on the occasional rogue bit of chicken and chips escaping a lunch box nearby (thank heavens for sequins and rhinestones, eh? 😉).

I’m here, not just to visit Hastings for a giggle, mind you. I’m here to perform, darling! You see, being a drag artist is more than just dazzling outfits and sassy walks (although, those are absolutely essential!), it’s about bringing joy to the world, spreading positivity and love through the power of sparkles, feathers, and pink tutus! So I’m performing at the wonderful "Fiddlesticks" cabaret tonight. They booked me in for two nights (don’t you love a queen who’s got moves!), so get your dancing shoes on, darlings, it’s going to be spectacular!

Now, about this stunning town! First stop, the seaside! It's not Hastings without the seaside. This glamorous gal found the most fabulous beach for a twirl (don't worry, my tutu is a quick dry – I'm a professional, after all!), and the waves were so pretty! It truly inspired me. After that, I visited the Old Town. It’s so cute, you know, cobbled streets, quaint little shops with pretty trinkets. The most fabulous little shop called “Whimsy Wonders” even had a miniature pink tutu! Now, you know my heart couldn’t leave that shop without purchasing that miniature tutu, darling. Imagine! It’s perfect for my own little collection back at home!

The best bit was a little further up the street, darling. It’s a café with a pink theme! “The Pink Teacup”! Now, you know a queen like me is going to have a little slice of cake with my tea there, and boy, were those strawberry tarts divine. You'd be forgiven for thinking I took a pink feather boa with me just to get those photo-worthy pictures with a hot pink, sweet-as-can-be strawberry tart! I just know everyone reading this is a little jealous right now, right?

It wasn't just about the food, darling! I spent the day window shopping, my favourite thing in the entire world (right after pink tutus, of course). Hastings really delivered, darling, so many little shops selling everything from handcrafted jewellery to delicious smelling bath salts. Honestly, the scents alone had me floating like a ballet dancer in a pink cloud. (Perhaps that's how I met that charming horse rider - we just kept passing each other and... well, you can imagine!).

Of course, I had to take a stroll to the iconic Hastings Pier. What a vision, all those twinkly lights, especially as the sun went down, I'm sure everyone got a little shiver at the dramatic seaside sunsets. So, my darlings, it was time to get into a fabulous dress, some perfectly pink lipstick and make it down to the Fiddlesticks Cabaret, where Pink Tutu Sparkles awaits. It was a grand night! Imagine - hundreds of cheering people in the audience! The whole room full of dazzling lights, music bouncing off the walls - what a fabulous place to spend an evening. My outfit was a sparkling, cherry-pink confection with matching gloves and shoes – a pink and glitter-tastic explosion. You see, I want my performance to bring happiness and a little bit of sparkle into the world! So, all those fantastic, happy people cheering me on made me feel like a total star, darling!

I am so grateful for every opportunity to perform and share my passion with everyone! If you’re reading this, remember:

  • Embrace the Pink: The colour pink has been associated with love, compassion, sweetness, and grace since ages ago! And tutus - a sign of grace, freedom, and joy! Why not let those colours radiate around you and brighten everyone's day!
  • Be You: The world is so much more vibrant when everyone is allowed to express themselves authentically. Let your sparkle shine!
  • Never stop learning and discovering: Hastings has shown me that every corner of the world is full of unique experiences waiting to be discovered. I urge you to explore! Every day brings a new adventure!

Remember, the journey’s more important than the destination - at least, that’s what I keep telling myself! Anyway, my darlings, I hope you loved this little peek into my day. Catch you tomorrow with even more sparkles and adventures!

Until then, stay fabulous!

XOXO,

Pink Tutu Sparkles 💖✨
