It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with you for blog post number 3952! 💖✨ Today, we're taking a little trip down to the beautiful seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. This town is steeped in history, and even has its own pier which I heard has a fair on the weekend - maybe there'll be an opportunity for a cheeky drag show, what do you say? 😏
Now, you know I love my trains, so it was a real treat to travel down in style today, looking resplendent in my bubblegum pink silk dress and, of course, a cascading pink tutu - can't have a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance without one! 😍 My fellow passengers certainly did a double take, and one lovely lady even told me I was the most glamorous thing she had ever seen! (Well, apart from her dog, but let's be real, it was a close call, hahaha! 😂)
Before we delve into the glamorous adventures I'm about to share with you, I wanted to ask: are you rocking a tutu today? 😉 If not, you should! The world needs more colour and joy, and what better way to bring that in than with a fluffy pink tutu? Don't be afraid to be yourself, darlings! 💗
Okay, so the first thing that took my breath away in Weston-super-Mare was the sea! It's such a vibrant blue, and the air is crisp and clean - perfect for a refreshing walk, don't you think? 🌬️ I just love the seaside, especially with its quaint cafes and souvenir shops! After my invigorating stroll along the promenade, I stopped for a spot of afternoon tea - naturally with a pink and sparkly twist, you see. 🍓🍰
My dear friends, Weston-super-Mare certainly did not disappoint in the shopping department. You know I adore a good thrift shop for those quirky finds and I unearthed the most adorable vintage sequined cardigan today - think Marilyn Monroe meets the "Princesses of the World" (anyone remember those Disney dolls?! 👑) 😉 Oh, and of course, there had to be a pink tutu-themed purchase. You know I can't resist, I have a bit of a problem (that's putting it lightly!) 😅
This evening, I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the iconic Grand Pier. It's not often I get to walk across such a structure, especially one with a charming carousel at its heart. 🎠 And guess what? My dear friends, they had a fabulous selection of pink tutus to choose from - who could have imagined?! I know, a real pinch-me moment for the Tutu Queen herself! 😂 I bought myself a delicate tulle skirt to add to my collection, a beautiful lilac with shimmering silver sequins...I may have gone a little crazy, I admit it, but it's all for the cause, right? 🤪
Speaking of causes, remember my story about how I got hooked on pink tutus? I was studying for a science degree, you know, the boring lab coats and chemical smells, but it was my time in the university ballet club that ignited my love for this magical world. My best friend dared me to try on a pink tutu for charity, and the rest, as they say, is history. 💖 Now I find myself spreading the Tutu-love wherever I go, travelling the length and breadth of this beautiful country.
My job during the day might be testing the colour fastness of fabric in a lab, but at night, I get to unleash the magical world of Pink Tutu Sparkles, my glamorous, glittery alter ego. There's something truly transformative about getting into my sparkly, pink-tastic clothes, my trusty hairspray, and becoming my onstage self. I am Pink Tutu Sparkles! A proud queen of the fluffy, feminine, and fun! 😄
I am not only obsessed with my beloved tutus and pink everything, but also a devoted follower of all things ballet. You will always find me with my nose tucked in a ballet book or glued to the TV watching performances of Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, or any other ballet for that matter! The beauty and grace of the dancers are simply magical. And of course, you can catch me in a ballet class every chance I get - it helps keep those leg muscles in check for all my amazing performance moves. 💪🩰
Before I end this little ramble, my dear friends, I want you all to take a moment and think about how you can add a little bit of pink tutu magic into your lives! It can be as simple as wearing a pink scarf or accessorising with a sparkly pink headband. It can be dancing around your living room in a flowy skirt or twirling under a string of fairy lights.
