The train ride down from Derbyshire was a pure delight. You know me, always prepared for anything: my pink sequined handbag housed not just essentials like lip gloss and a feather boa, but also a book on the history of ballet – you never know when knowledge is going to come in handy, right? And, of course, my trusty pink tutu case. It's a good thing I packed it – you'll see why later!
Arriving in Walton upon Thames felt like stepping into a vintage postcard, a blend of old-world charm and modern bustle. It's the perfect backdrop for my pink tulle fantasies.
Afternoon Tea Time and Ballet Dreams
The first stop was a truly charming tearoom with floral wallpaper and teacups that could have come straight out of a Jane Austen novel. A pot of Earl Grey and a scone with clotted cream was a dream come true. You can't travel without a little indulgence, darlings! I might have been wearing my pink tutu over my skirt while I ate - just a hint of sparkle for my afternoon tea, you know.
After the sugar rush, my heart led me straight to the local ballet studio. It was an adorable little space filled with the sounds of music and the energy of aspiring ballerinas. My inner child shrieked with joy! Of course, I had to pop in and see what they were up to. And you know what? They invited me to join in a little workshop!
The class was so much fun! It was a perfect mix of ballet basics and creative exploration. Even though I'm no professional dancer, I felt right at home in that tutu and leaping through the air, surrounded by all those talented young dancers. I can't help but imagine one of them will be a star someday. ✨
Twinkling in Walton
Later that evening, the real fun began. I had a performance scheduled at the local town hall, which, if you can believe it, is an absolutely stunning, historical building! The town hall was overflowing with locals and I couldn't resist wearing my extra-sparkly pink tutu for the occasion.
As I twirled my way across the stage, the energy in the room was electric. People laughed, cheered, and danced along. Even though my act is a little unconventional – pink tutu, feather boas, and a good dose of camp – it seemed everyone in Walton upon Thames was happy to be swept up in the joy.
My goal in life, as you know, is to get everyone in the world wearing pink tutus. Each performance, each journey, each sparkle brings me closer to that dream!

So, when our ballet club organized a fundraiser, I grabbed a pink tutu and a pair of pink shoes. As soon as I twirled in front of the mirror, it felt like a transformation. A bright, sparkling declaration that there’s always space for a bit of whimsy in life!
