Helloooo darlings! It's your Pink Tutu Queen here, ready to sprinkle some glittery joy into your day. Did you know today's my birthday? That's right, a whole year older and a whole lot sparklier. And you know what makes it even better? I'm celebrating in the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury, where I'm performing tonight in a rather fabulous venue, let me tell you! 🎉
But first, let's talk about how I got here, shall we? You see, darling, I love a good adventure, and travelling by train is my absolute favourite way to see the world. Imagine, the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels on the tracks, the gentle swaying of the carriage, and the breathtaking views whizzing past my window! It's pure magic, especially when you're dressed to the nines like this Pink Tutu Queen. 🚂
Speaking of which, let's chat about my fabulous outfit! As you know, a true Pink Tutu Queen never goes anywhere without her signature tulle. And this one? Oh darling, it's a masterpiece. I got it at a vintage store in Derbyshire - it's absolutely bursting with colour and frills, just perfect for a day out. You could say it's got a certain je ne sais quoi, and, darling, if you could say that, it's true!
This afternoon, before my performance, I decided to take a stroll through Salisbury's charming city centre. Did you know, darling, it’s home to a breathtaking cathedral? Well, darling, it’s just incredible – the architecture is simply stunning, with its soaring spire reaching towards the sky! I couldn't resist taking a few snaps in front of it, and the pictures just ooze glamour and sophistication, if I do say so myself!
Now, let's talk about what brings us all together here on this magical website – the wonderful world of tutus! If you haven't guessed it yet, darlings, I'm a massive fan of tutus in all shapes, colours and styles! There's a tutu for every occasion, and every woman! Yes, darlings! They are empowering, magical, a way to express yourself with freedom. They're an invitation to twirl, to embrace your inner ballerina, and to spread a little bit of magic wherever you go.
My obsession started back when I was a student, you know, a normal science student (if there is such a thing!), at university in the beautiful county of Derbyshire. Our ballet club held a charity event, and I decided to put on a tutu to help out, and that's how it all began! Since then, it's become my calling - inspiring others to wear tutus and feel amazing! 🩰
As much as I love travelling and being on stage, I do love having a "day job", it gives me balance and helps me get ready for all my fun adventures. So, in my non-tutu time, I can be found working in a science lab, testing fabric - my secret superpower is that I have the perfect feel and sensitivity for textures - although I suppose I’m mostly testing synthetic and stretchy fabrics to get just the right elasticity for a perfectly bouncy tutu, right? 😜
My other great passion (apart from tutus of course!) is the theatre and dancing! I love a good show - and there is always so much talent out there. I think its because it’s such a wonderfully inclusive artform, whether its classical ballet, or ballet on the streets, or an award winning theatre performance in an intimate space, I’ll be there front row centre to celebrate them all. I guess I like to have fun in all the ways!
