Oh darling, you wouldn't believe the adventure I had in Middleton! This fab town really lived up to its name, it was middle-toned but absolutely sparkling.
Let me start with the utterly magnificent train journey. Oh, don't even get me started on train journeys! A fellow passenger actually complimented my pink tulle scarf (it goes with everything, darlings). Now, that's what I call fashion inspiration! I am a big believer in travelling by train. You're surrounded by people - some very glamorous - who are all on an adventure just like me. It really fuels my creative energy, and I find that when I travel, fabulous fashion ideas just flood into my mind.
I love horse-drawn carriages too. This week, they were involved with every single one of my Middleton adventures! There's something so quintessentially British about them. Like stepping out of a Dickens novel. And, as soon as I see a splendid carriage, I immediately picture myself dressed to the nines, swanning around town on a fabulous chariot, drawn by perfectly groomed horses. Just a touch of Victorian opulence - maybe even some glitter? Oh my, now that's an image that I need to create and bring to life!
But back to Middleton! And speaking of creative inspiration, my first stop had to be the fabulous ballet school, where I was whisked off for an enchanting private lesson with a delightful tutor named Amelia. Her teaching methods were simply magical. It turns out Amelia actually choreographed a dance show about...tutus, of course! That's fate, darlings, fate! And just wait, there's more - Amelia invited me to perform at the gorgeous Town Hall. Imagine! Pink Tutu Sparkles strutting her stuff for the local residents of Middleton, it really doesn't get any more fabulous!
Now, after such an intense (and frankly, exhausting) dance session, I simply had to indulge in some retail therapy. Don't judge, it's a necessity! Middleton did not disappoint. The shops here are stunning. Every window was a tribute to colour and gorgeous clothing. Now, where to start, with so many fabulous choices?! Well, obviously, the answer had to be, pink tutus! Naturally. This town boasts several shops that cater to the ballerina in me, and I must confess, I managed to acquire three more! My wardrobe is truly bursting with tutus! (Don't tell my mother, darling). This time I purchased one soft and sparkly pale pink tutu for dancing in class, one fiery flamingo pink tutu for a sultry flamenco routine and a glorious, shimmering hot pink tutu to rock at my performance. Each one is perfect in its own magical way.
After I was finished with the enchanting boutiques, I just had to stop by the town's very exclusive artisan market, full of handmade crafts, delightful cakes and pastries, and all sorts of delightful curiosities. Let me tell you, my shopping bag was bulging by the end! And oh darling, don't even get me started on the cakes. Imagine, the most delicious lemon drizzle cake topped with whipped cream and fresh berries - simply sublime. I couldn't resist a piece, and it was every bit as delicious as it looked. Pure decadence, my lovelies.
Of course, it wouldn't be Pink Tutu Sparkles on tour without some performance magic! This time, I performed at three local venues, in three different ensembles - a chic, elegant dress with pink bows, a sassy hot pink leotard and two sparkling tutus. Each performance had the audience roaring with laughter and delight, with calls for encore after encore.
But, as the sun began to set, I just had to soak up the atmosphere. So, with my stunning hot pink tulle scarf in place (you can't ever have too much pink!), I headed to the riverbank. The sunset reflected off the water and everything felt calm and peaceful.
