Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to dazzle you with another instalment from my sparkly travels. So, this week, I’ve landed in the charming town of Maidstone! A charming blend of history and bustling life – just like a perfect Pink Tutu ensemble, wouldn’t you agree? 😉 The train journey was delightful – so many fabulously-dressed people, just waiting to be inspired by my pink tutu power!
Let’s be honest, darling, I live for a good train ride. The gentle click-clack rhythm is so calming, and it provides the perfect environment for my latest pink tutu brainstorming. I actually managed to get my pink tutu ensemble sketched out on a little notebook in my handbag! And for any fellow pink tutu fans out there – I discovered a wonderful pink feather boa in the carriage’s luggage rack. It practically leapt out and shouted "Pink Tutu!" at me. How could I resist?!
Speaking of feather boas, let me tell you about my Maidstone outfit – the most gloriously pink, flamboyant masterpiece, with the most magnificent feather boa I’ve ever laid eyes on! (You know it's magnificent because I wore it. 😂 )
But before we get into the glam details, I must tell you about my most spectacular ballet encounter in Maidstone! The local theatre put on this absolutely enchanting production of ‘Swan Lake’ – breathtaking dancing, incredible costumes. The ballerina playing Odette was divine, and let’s just say, I got some serious inspiration from the performance for my upcoming ballet street performance in Brighton.
Now, back to my Maidstone outfit. Pink Tutu Sparkles in Maidstone has got to be my most show-stopping yet. It’s all about delicate shades of pink. A fluffy tulle tutu – you just have to feel it, darling, so soft, like a marshmallow dream! It was layered over a hot pink bodice, cinched in at the waist with a shimmering silver belt, with just the right amount of sparkle. The crowning glory was the boa – oh darling, it was glorious! It shimmered and ruffled with each graceful twirl, and truly encapsulated my vibrant, flamboyant personality!
Naturally, after a magical show like ‘Swan Lake,’ the urge to perform had taken over! You wouldn't believe it, lovelies – but a chance encounter with a lovely cafe owner led me to have my very own impromptu performance! I was sketching my Brighton choreography and suddenly – bam! I was surrounded by giggling kids! It's magical how even a casual outfit (for me, anyway!) with just a little pink tutu can make the ordinary extraordinary. It’s all about those little moments, my loves.
You see, that's my motto - life’s all about sharing that spark of joy and excitement! When you find that something that brings out the inner child, the magic happens. And nothing says "let's unleash our inner sparkle" like a fabulous pink tutu, right?
Now, about Maidstone!
Firstly, this town has amazing independent boutiques! I can't resist a good bargain and I managed to unearth the cutest pair of pink platform shoes, perfect for my performance next week. Oh darling, I literally had to have them! (Maybe they're already in Brighton, too… don’t judge me).
Then, my next adventure took me to a horse-drawn carriage ride through Maidstone. This town is overflowing with history and charm, so this felt like a fantastic way to soak it all in. Did you know that there’s this historic building – The Mote House? (See? I'm not only stylish, but knowledgeable too! 😂). And the countryside around Maidstone is just stunning.
