Today's adventure finds me in Colchester, Essex, a lovely little coastal town that’s absolutely buzzing with excitement!
Now, I know what you're thinking - "Colchester? But isn't that a bit… boring?" Well, let me tell you, honey, you'd be absolutely wrong! This town is steeped in history, boasting a Roman fort and Colchester Castle, the oldest castle in Britain. And guess what? I'm not just here to soak up the history, though a good dose of that never hurts. I'm here to sprinkle some pink tutu magic on this charming seaside town!
I'm arriving by train, of course! A queen's gotta travel in style, and there's nothing quite like watching the world go by from the window of a comfy carriage, surrounded by my favourite magazines and my latest bagful of sparkly pink accessories. You never know who you might meet on a train journey – perhaps a fellow tutu enthusiast, or a potential client for my next show! You never know, darlings!
Once I arrived in Colchester, I knew I had to head straight for the beautiful Castle Park. What a breath of fresh air! It’s the perfect place for a picnic in a sunny afternoon (I always bring a pot of pink iced tea!), a stroll through the beautiful gardens, or a little practice session for my new ballet street moves. Speaking of which, you know I love a good ballet routine! There’s something truly magical about gliding through the air in a voluminous tulle skirt. One of my favourite things about travelling to new towns is the local community. There's something truly beautiful about bringing joy and laughter to others, even if it's just for a few hours. Just like in the theatre, our collective hearts are touched by shared experiences. And I must say, Colchester has truly exceeded my expectations! I even bumped into a local artist today who creates stunning jewellery pieces from reclaimed materials - think beautiful, earthy beads woven into bold, modern shapes that scream "Pink Tutu Sparkles" from the very first glance.
I have a sneaking suspicion this trip is just the beginning of a wonderful relationship with this charming town.
