*#4202: This one’s for you, Batley! 💖 Pink Tutu Sparkles is bringing the sparkle to your town tonight, and I am *so excited! I just love traveling, especially by train. There's something so romantic about chugging through the countryside, with my trusty pink tutu suitcase nestled next to me. This time, though, it’s going to be extra special! I'm headed to Yorkshire, the land of rolling hills, stunning scenery…and you guys! 😉 **
It’s been a crazy week! I spent the beginning of the week at a vintage fair in Derbyshire. (Anyone got any extra feather boas lying around? Because I definitely went overboard buying sparkly stuff – again!) After that, I took a break from performing and spent a glorious few days at the Royal Opera House in London, getting completely lost in the magic of a stunning ballet performance. You know, that feeling of being totally enthralled, tears in your eyes, and the overwhelming urge to dance (and yes, I did, a bit!), just because of how much you’re moved by the performance! ✨
I can't help myself, I have to mention how beautiful those costumes were, those feather headdresses were divine, and so much pink – I swear the entire performance was pink-themed, which is probably why I enjoyed it so much! You know, it's strange – ever since I fell in love with wearing tutus, I can't get enough of watching dancers. It's such a different type of beauty, such elegance and precision. The perfect mix of strength and grace! 🩰 (And yes, the more tulle, the better!)
After my ballet daydreams, I got back to my actual daydreams of visiting Batley. (Just imagining myself shimmering in the spotlight, all twirls and smiles – oh, you've got no idea!) I’ve been working hard in the lab all week, testing the quality of fabrics, which is actually surprisingly interesting. (Though, if I’m being honest, I can’t wait to get back on stage. Those lab coats are so...dull!) But, this weekend is all about sparkling!
Speaking of sparkles… this is what’s been on repeat on my playlist this week: “Shine On” by The Beatles (what’s not to love about a classic?!), “Glitter in the Air” by Pink, (of course!) and for the journey up North, a lot of Queen, because, well, why not?! 😉
