Hello, my darlings! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from Harrogate, Yorkshire! Oh, my dears, this trip is already a complete whirlwind! And in the most fabulous way, of course! ✨
This week, I've been absolutely bursting with excitement. You know how I love to travel, and you know I absolutely adore performing! Combining those two passions is always a dream come true, and today, it's come to fruition!
After packing my fabulous sparkly suitcases – I just had to include a new feather boa for this trip, you see! It's lilac, just to be different – I grabbed my trusty travel companion, my trusty old (and absolutely beautiful) rocking horse called Rosie. Yes, she does take some room in the car, but a diva needs her transport, even when travelling by road. (Trust me, Rosie and I get looks on the train. But who cares, we're travelling in style!).
I'm in Harrogate to perform at a little market event, a vintage fair actually. Oh, my dear ones, vintage is so my style! The fabulous organisers have even given me a prime spot, a beautiful booth decorated with bunting and floral displays. So cute! Just a shame the little fair stall isn't quite large enough for me to strut in my full sparkly outfit. Oh well, it is a daytime event...
And speaking of daytime events, I’m very excited because I've been able to squeeze in some extra fun during my trip! I am off to a ballet show on Sunday. The show itself is lovely and light-hearted, something classic and fun like "Swan Lake" and "Sleeping Beauty", and as always, the chance to soak up all those twirling, swirling ballerinas. It's inspiring! They're so graceful, like delicate fairies fluttering in the breeze! My life motto: "be strong, be graceful, and wear a pink tutu!"
After the ballet, of course, I'll need to hit the high street! How can one go to Harrogate without paying a visit to the charming little shops? I must admit I’m secretly excited for a trip to a fantastic vintage clothing store I saw advertised online! I’ve been yearning to find a new statement piece for my wardrobe, something sparkly and fabulous, but also classic and unique!

I also love seeing the pictures you share - my latest blog post was even inspired by a photo a reader posted of herself rocking a lovely bright pink tutu, which was fabulous! Just a shame the photo was of a ballerina. Ballet dancers make everything look effortless.
But back to this Harrogate trip... Before heading out, I thought it only fitting to don a magnificent, truly spectacular pink tutu for a quick photoshoot. Oh, the pictures look fantastic! You'll be seeing them soon on the website, dears, I promise. Don’t you worry! I haven't forgotten my motto, after all!
My new tutu, darling? It's something truly special. Imagine the softest pink you've ever seen, mixed with a shimmery iridescent fabric. Then, imagine layers and layers of fluffy tulle! Just beautiful. And yes, a sparkly sequined top and the matching pink feather boa just add the extra something something, darling. I even decided to have my trusty trusty trusty boots sprayed a beautiful metallic silver to match the sequined top.
For today's look, however, I kept things a little toned down for my booth! We’ve all got to be respectful of a classic market stall and keep things family friendly. Think delicate, frilly, ruffled petticoats (still with the stunning pink hue), teamed with a cute white shirt tucked in with an amazing diamanté brooch on top! Oh my dear! That brooch was an absolute steal from a lovely charity shop on the way here - what a perfect find! For shoes, it's my classic, white sparkly converse. No time for heels, my dears. But rest assured, those heels will be coming out tonight for the performance. 😉
This trip has got my tutu-loving heart beating, just knowing that I’m out here sharing my joy with the world. After all, isn't life just a little brighter in a pink tutu? That’s why I started this blog and made this whole pink tutu obsession into a lifestyle. My goal is simple: I want everyone to put on a pink tutu at least once in their lives!
I know, it's a wild, exciting, ambitious goal. But then again, what’s life without a bit of sparkle and a dash of the extraordinary? Right, dears?
