Hello my darlings, it's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, ready to take you on another fabulous adventure! Today I'm bringing you sunshine, sparkle, and a whole lot of pink... straight from the charming town of Taunton.
You know I'm a girl who loves a good train journey, so this trip was a dream. The gentle sway of the carriage, the changing scenery, and of course, my killer outfit - all the ingredients for a magical day. Today's theme was a vintage-inspired ballet look, think 1950s tulle and frills, with a dash of pink glitter and a hint of Hollywood glamour.
Now, Taunton is a delightful place, and I wasn't just there for the tea and cake (although they did have a most excellent cream tea at the "Teaspoon and Whisk," just saying). I was here to perform, darlings! Oh yes, a full blown, sparkly, twirling, singing performance at the "Taunton Town Hall," as a special guest at their "Summer Nights" extravaganza.
Remember my little motto, darlings? Get everyone wearing a pink tutu? Well, you can believe that I gave Taunton's hearts a proper dose of pinkness tonight. You should have seen the looks on people's faces, the absolute delight when I burst on stage. The Mayor, bless her heart, had her own pink tutu ready! Honestly, my dear, the whole town embraced the sparkle.
Before I headed onto the stage, though, I took a stroll around the charming, little cobbled streets. The Tudor architecture and bustling markets were an absolute joy. It really felt like a proper town with lots of history. I found the most amazing pink antique hat and couldn't resist taking it back to the hotel to try on. Can you imagine me strutting about Taunton in a giant pink feather hat? Absolutely divine!
And speaking of hats, my darling, I'm thinking of starting a "pink hat" campaign next. Imagine the possibilities! The streets flooded with pink! Oh, darling, I just might have started something big...
My Taunton adventures weren't limited to the town itself. The countryside around here is breathtaking! And I don't just mean breathtaking in the traditional, "lovely countryside" sense. I mean, I practically went wild for the stunning nature trails! You know I adore a good hike and finding wildflowers, especially in that bright, cheerful pink. Imagine, pink tutus, pink flowers, and the sunshine... just the sort of scene you might catch me prancing about in!
Before you ask, darlings, the walk was, of course, in full pink tutu regalia. It was a lovely challenge trying to keep the tulle and my skirt from catching in the branches of those majestic oak trees! But hey, if a girl can't enjoy a nature hike in her pink tutu, then what's the point, darling?
As a self-proclaimed "pink-loving, tutu-wearing, glitter-obsessed drag queen", the whole day just sparkled. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else!
