Hello darlings! Your Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back from another fabulous trip, this time to the charming Royal Tunbridge Wells! Now, you know I adore a good train journey. The wind in my hair, the clickety-clack of the wheels on the track, a little cheeky singalong with my fellow passengers – what more could a girl ask for? But, you know me, darling, never just a simple train ride! I had to spruce things up a little! I rocked my Pink Petal tutu – yes, the one with the handmade rose embellishments, and topped it off with a brand-new fluffy pink feather boa that I snagged on sale from a vintage shop in Derbyshire, my home county.
Of course, my fellow travellers couldn't resist my sparkly presence! A young girl giggled, "You're a princess, aren't you?!" Oh darling, I nearly burst with delight! It’s these little moments, that remind me why I do what I do! Spreading joy and making everyone feel like the glamorous princess they truly are!
Arriving at Royal Tunbridge Wells was pure magic. The town was buzzing with activity, a real treat for a tutu queen! Now, I’ve got to confess, darling, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. All I knew is, I had to wear my most flamboyant getup!
Time for Shopping!
I simply had to indulge in a spot of retail therapy. My dear, the boutiques here are utterly delightful! And guess what I found? A breathtaking pink vintage hat, trimmed with shimmering lace and feathers! Oh, I simply had to have it. And how could I possibly leave without snagging a pair of fabulous shoes? My gaze fell on these stunning sparkly ballet flats - absolutely perfect for a dance through the town. Now, if only I could've persuaded them to throw in a brand new pink tutu while I was there… Maybe next time!
Dance Lessons & Sparkling Performance!
Next, I decided to head straight to the Royal Tunbridge Wells Ballet Academy! What can I say, darlings? The dancers there were simply incredible! My heart was doing a pirouette! I even managed to sneak in a lesson – it was more ballet street than anything else but honestly, darling, it was brilliant. I learned a brand-new spin, and even though I had to pull some extra fancy moves because of the length of my tutu, I managed not to trip. What’s a girl got to do!
Later that evening, it was time for a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance! My gig was a local fair in a community centre. I was ready to bring some joy and glitz to the neighbourhood! With the crowds chanting "Pink Tutu! Pink Tutu!" , I knew this was going to be a spectacular show. I danced, I twirled, I sashayed – everything in my sparkly pink repertoire. My act included a dazzling light-up tutu, that made me shine brighter than any star! The kids in the crowd absolutely adored it, even the teenagers couldn’t resist snapping a picture with me after the show. It's the absolute best, darling! Making children smile and sharing the magic of performance – that's the heart and soul of what I do.
The Grand Pink Tutu Ball!
One thing that Royal Tunbridge Wells did surprise me with is the amazing amount of vintage pink things I found on offer! I just couldn’t resist picking up a delightful teacup, saucer and plate, all decked out in pretty pink roses and butterflies. Oh darling, they’re now centrepiece of my tutu collection at my flat!
And no trip is complete without a fab afternoon tea! Well, a Pink Tutu Sparkles afternoon tea, I should say! Now, picture this - a delicious spread of sandwiches, scones, and, of course, a pot of steaming pink tea – all served with a side of pink macarons and cakes! Yes, I'm still searching for the perfect pink tea cup - you know, with little pink sparkly tutus and tiny tiaras - that I will one day buy but when I found this fabulous tea shop tucked away on a quiet side street, it felt absolutely perfect!
All I could say after a wonderful few days was, “Oh Royal Tunbridge Wells, how could I ever leave?!” Of course, dear reader, this isn’t the end of the story. I’m already planning my next big pink adventure! Don’t you fret, I'll let you in on all the juicy details as soon as I have them! Until then, keep spreading the pink love!
