Oh my goodness, darlings! The excitement of this past week has been enough to give a girl a splitting headache (but in the best way possible!). Let me tell you, my darling followers, it’s been one grand adventure, fit for a Queen like myself!
And I must admit, my journey to the lovely, green-tinged land of Cumbernauld (not too shabby at all, Cumbernauld!) has been nothing short of fantastic, all thanks to my ever-so-trustworthy steed, the mighty Caledonian Sleeper! 🚂 Now, I’m not going to lie, some people are a little afraid of the journey north. But darling, what’s an adventure without a bit of fear?! You just need a touch of sparkle, a whole lotta pink, and the spirit of adventure!
Cumbernauld has such a charming, hidden, vibrant energy - just like me! You wouldn’t believe the joy of stepping onto the stage in the little cabaret venue; those who say it’s all about the location are simply WRONG, darling! The best performers have charisma, spark, and let me tell you… my outfit? Absolute showstopper, as usual. That vintage fuchsia sequined gown, oh darling, it had everyone singing my praises (and my stage name!), with that dramatic tulle skirt that literally went ON and ON. 💖
It’s quite the juggling act, you know. My daytime self, Alex, is knee-deep in the laboratory, testing the softness of that fabric (but darling, nobody ever said being a scientist was glamorous… ). And as the sun sets, the world gets ready for my queenly magic. Pink Tutu Sparkles steps in, my darling followers, with a fabulous flick of the wrist and a flick of the tulle, bringing my unique brand of Sparkling Pink-ness to everyone! 💖
Don’t let the folks tell you that science and pink don't go together. Darling, my love for science got me hooked on pink tutus in the first place. Imagine, all those labs full of swirling tubes… but wait… there’s a student in the lab wearing a beautiful tutu to raise money for charity. And I was immediately hooked! This little pink story got me thinking – everyone should experience the magic of a tutu. Why stop at science laboratories, my dears? Why not add a touch of pink in your office spaces? Even in factories, imagine all that pink swirling in those smoky places! We need more pink in the world, my lovelies! Why stop at ballet shows? Imagine ballet dancers on those construction sites, darling! A tutu goes everywhere and is for everyone! 🩰
Speaking of construction sites… that was where the horseback riding element came into play! It’s been years since I rode – since my days on the moors back in my hometown of Derbyshire. The beautiful, sunny green lands of the Peak District - so far from Cumbernauld, but just as full of pink enchantment. You’d never believe it, but darling, those country fairs in Derbyshire are so fun! 🎠
What do horses have to do with Cumbernauld you ask? Well, my sweethearts, remember when I said that adventure needs a little touch of fear… A friend of mine has a big, gorgeous Clydesdale horse. Big, kind eyes, the cutest brown mane and of course, we adorned his lovely brown body with pink! (He loved it! Trust me, my darling! 😉) I found the perfect location - a clearing deep in the middle of a little Cumbernauld woodland – for an impromptu photoshoot with my new furry friend.
And you know, all this talk of countryside makes me want to go dancing – imagine that big, powerful Clydesdale and his sweet pink outfit on stage! A grand performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream would be quite the magical spectacle… 💖
Now, this might sound like I am quite the busy bee... and my sweethearts, you would be right. And what a lovely busy bee she is, if I say so myself. But let's be honest, I can't be everywhere at once, even if I have wings like a majestic queen bee! 💖
So I'm starting with a simple plea: If you see someone looking like a pink queen strutting their stuff in a vibrant, enchanting outfit, go and give them a smile. Let them know that pink is fabulous, darling, and even if you’ve got just a smidge of doubt, go ahead and slip on a pink tutu. I promise, darling, it will change your life… and your outfit! 💖
