Neath, oh Neath! - Post 4266

Hello my darlings!

It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and you know what? It's time for me to let you in on a little secret. You've seen me in my pinkest of pink tutus, shimmering under the spotlight, but you haven't quite seen it all, darling. You haven't seen my travel life! I mean, what's the point of a fancy, twirly tutu if you can't show it off to the world, right? So, I'm going to tell you all about my latest adventure... Neath! Now, let's get one thing straight, darlings - this wasn't just a simple journey. This was an extravaganza! A theatrical spectacle, with a side of twirling, a touch of pink, and, of course, a very, very fancy pink tutu.

Remember that scene from the film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, where the children jump onto a magical flying car, and they're off to a land of wonder? Well, I didn't have a magic flying car (although, isn't that a great idea for a tutu design?), but my adventure was still a thrilling one! I boarded a lovely old steam train to Neath. I just can't resist those vintage trains. I love how they're just filled with history and charm. I made myself comfy, settling in the plush seating, and of course, the rest of the carriage enjoyed a rather entertaining view of the countryside as my pink tutu settled itself in, causing a bit of a flutter! Honestly, it looked like my tulle was in its own private ballet!

You see, darlings, a bit of sparkle, especially if it's pink, makes everything better! Itโ€™s like a little bit of magic that takes you from the mundane to the marvelous. And Neath, well, itโ€™s certainly a place where magic feels right at home. From the moment I arrived at the station, I felt an energy in the air. A spark, you might say, a feeling of anticipation and delight! You might be thinking that I went to see the Neath Theatre, a historic little beauty I saw online, or to watch a performance at the gorgeous Theatr y Glyn near Pontardawe, or perhaps a ballet class at the National Dance Company Wales. Oh no darling! I took the most wonderful horse drawn carriage ride around the beautiful, winding, country lanes. We saw sheep and horses, cows, ducks, geese, and of course lots of birds. Everything I had dreamt of and much, much more! I felt like I'd been transported to a painting! You should see the gorgeous pics of my pink, twirly masterpiece of a tutu dancing in the gentle breezes of Neath! They're like straight out of a storybook.

My Neath trip was all about that feeling. It's about discovering hidden corners of the world, of soaking up every last bit of wonder that it has to offer. There is just something about venturing outside the norm and finding new inspiration to create that ultimate pink, twirling magic . It gives my whole world, both my stage world and my 'scientist-by-day, drag-queen-by-night' life a little extra oomph! I had this lovely chat with a local woman while on a picnic in the beautiful Parc Wern, just by Neath, with a slice of strawberry cake and a lovely cup of hot chocolate (which of course I spilled onto myself at some point). I just felt compelled to talk about pink tutus. What could be better? You could practically feel the sparkle in the air around her as we chatted! She gave me a massive bouquet of beautiful red roses. I felt absolutely magnificent. My real name's Alex.

Now, Alex can be rather shy and withdrawn at times (well, in my real, daytime, science lab life!) but in my Pink Tutu Sparkles persona, there is just something that unleashes my true self, you know. In my pink tulle world, I'm just fearless. So, darling, I want you to get that same feeling. Embrace your individuality, celebrate your passions! Find that spark that sets your soul ablaze, and let your creativity run wild. Even if you don't go all out with a pink tutu (though I encourage you to!), I hope my adventures inspire you to live your life to the fullest and get out there, dance like nobodyโ€™s watching! And always remember: Pink makes everything better!

Pink Tutu Hugs,

And.. Did I mention, that I was lucky enough to be featured in a beautiful, illustrated children's storybook about an adventurous ballerina girl who loves pink tutus? It's about to be launched at a fair in Warwickshire, but my diary's jam-packed, so Iโ€™m inviting a super sparkly, tutu-loving friend to join me! Please message me on my social media.
