I'm feeling quite the whimsical fairy, actually, as I've just finished a divine ballet class at the Eltham Dance Academy. Did you know, darlings, they have these incredible workshops where you can learn a whole new style of dance? I'm totally hooked on a little bit of flamenco at the moment, it's just so passionate and dramatic, you know? Perfect for a girl with a heart of gold and a head full of sequins! ✨
After the class, I headed to the stunning Eltham Palace - it's practically a castle! Talk about fairytale chic, I felt like a princess straight out of a Disney film! I could picture myself waltzing through the gardens with my trusty pink tutu trailing behind me, and of course, snapping a few Insta-worthy selfies along the way. Because you know what they say, a day without a pink tutu selfie is a day wasted! 😉
Before I go any further, let's just address the elephant in the room... the train journey. I know some of you love them, but honestly, darling, I'm not the biggest fan. Now, I'm all for travelling in style - like my lovely jaunts by horse in Derbyshire, just breathtaking - but train travel? Let's just say it's not the same level of glamour, is it? I felt like a big pink poofball wedged in a cramped compartment! Thankfully, I had a delightful chat with a charming elderly gentleman who thought I was the prettiest butterfly he had ever seen. Apparently, you don't even need to fly to Eltham - the journey itself is an adventure! 😜
Speaking of journeys, how did I even end up in this magical place called Eltham? Well, darling, I got the opportunity to perform my drag show at a fantastic fair in the park! Let me tell you, the atmosphere was electric. My show went down a storm - I can tell the good people of Eltham love a bit of pink sparkle, and they definitely know how to have a good time! 🤩
The best part? One little boy in the front row, he was so cute in his tiny dungarees! He stared at my pink tutu with the most fascinated eyes, it was truly precious. After the show, he came up to me with his Mum, shyly asking, "Is that a real tutu?" I'll tell you what, darlings, that's the kind of reaction that warms this queen's heart right to the core! That's the magic of Pink Tutu Sparkles, spreading joy and inspiring future tutu-wearers, one sparkle at a time. 🥰
But back to the pink-tastic shenanigans in Eltham! After my performance, I got to check out some of the local shops - and let's just say, I walked out with some gorgeous bargains, all in the name of spreading pink cheer, of course! My favourite was this adorable vintage shop tucked away down a cobbled side street - they had the most incredible selection of feather boas, and a sparkly pink purse that absolutely screamed "Pink Tutu Sparkles"!! You know I couldn't resist snapping it up. 😉
To be honest, darlings, Eltham was an absolute dream! From the lush parks to the friendly people, the historic buildings to the delectable scones at the tea shop... everything about this little town is enchanting, and definitely a must-visit for all my fabulous tutu-loving friends. 🥰
