Oh my darlings, it's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back from another fabulous adventure, this time in the charming little town of Welling. Let me tell you, it was simply divine! Now, as you know, I'm always up for a journey, especially if it involves a train ride, but Welling was just a little different. It had that small-town charm that just takes your breath away. I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a bit starstruck when I first caught sight of that quaint train station, you know? With all those red bricks and ivy, it's like stepping out of a vintage postcard!
And to top it all off, this week I had the absolute joy of seeing a brilliant performance by the Welling Ballet School. Let me tell you, the kids were amazing! Such energy, such grace, such dedication! I simply can't wait to inspire these young stars to reach for the highest tutus! You know, we can't let the magic of ballet disappear! I hope they all came away with the same spark in their eyes I had when I was a little tyke, a sparkle that said "Pink Tutu, watch out!"
Anyway, the whole Welling experience was a symphony of pink hues, from the delightful tea room where I enjoyed the most divine afternoon tea – complete with raspberry and rose scones, you know my love of the rose and its delicate flavour! - to the adorable boutique with its display of tulle fabrics – perfect for custom-made tutu creations! Let me tell you, my little bird has already started working on a few bespoke ideas inspired by the Welling charm, with the hopes of wearing them at a show in a nearby town!
You see, darlings, I'm all about sharing the love, and that means travelling, exploring, and inspiring everyone I meet. After all, life's a stage, isn't it? Welling truly was the perfect backdrop for this journey, and the lovely people I met were all so warm and welcoming! The smiles, the chats, the laughter...it was like I was stepping into a warm, pink tutu cloud! I swear, if you saw them they'd be the fluffiest clouds in the whole wide world!
And of course, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without some fabulous, sparkling outfits! I’m wearing my ‘Hot Pink Princess’ design in this week's blog, and, yes, the headpiece is just as spectacular as always. But don’t forget, I also always carry a little tutu for my travel bag – you know, for those spur of the moment ‘Pink Tutu moment’ that might happen - and a selection of extra tulle fabrics. After all, you never know when a little pink whimsy might be required!
Oh, I nearly forgot! To pay homage to Welling's lovely people and their unwavering dedication to arts, I've designed a special "Welling Waltz" tutu. I just know the pastel colours and exquisite embellishments of this piece are going to be absolutely stunning, but what do you think my darlings?
