Hello my darlings, and welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you all the fabulousness from Bicester. This is post #4350 and my little heart is fluttering with excitement, because Bicester is practically the capital of all things stylish, chic and most importantly, pink!
Oh my darlings, I just had the most wonderful weekend. A whirlwind of sparkly sequins, tutus and oh, did I mention tutus? You see, my little dears, this glamorous gal just had to visit the renowned Bicester Village - it's like stepping into a fairytale with all the glittery stores, charming cobblestone streets, and a delightful selection of high-street and luxury brands, fit for a queen (and you all know a tutu-wearing queen deserves nothing less!)
Before I go into detail, I have to mention the journey. A gloriously romantic train journey, donning my best pink tutu and sipping on Earl Grey with my favourite fluffy white rabbit, Mr. Buns (he insists on accompanying me wherever I go!)
The first stop was a delightful bakery, right across the station. Imagine: a symphony of sweet smells, delicate pastries in rows upon rows, and the most exquisite pink buttercream frosting you have ever seen! My, oh my, was that delightful pastry even slightly reminiscent of my dazzling pink tutu? Perhaps it was all just the joy of celebrating such a joyous and very pink trip to Bicester.
As soon as the bakery was safely behind me, I waltzed straight to Bicester Village. What a truly fabulous haven of fashion! And I knew exactly where to head: a divine little boutique brimming with pink delights. I was like a child in a sweet shop! I can’t disclose names of stores - confidentiality, you know - but let’s just say I have the most wonderful pink cashmere cardigan and a handbag just sparkling with diamanté... just the things a true queen needs.
That evening, after a day of retail therapy, I treated myself to the most delicious high tea! Now, a Pink Tutu Sparkles can never say no to a fine tea, especially when paired with a plethora of dainty sandwiches, delicate finger sandwiches, and even a tier of beautiful cakes and macaroons, oh, the colours! All with, of course, a delightful assortment of colourful teas in vintage teacups and saucers, just perfect for a truly regal evening tea party, which is always much more civilised with a touch of pink - naturally!
But speaking of colour, there is a magical, sparkly, whimsical event happening just outside of Bicester in a quaint, village square. Imagine if you will: twirling tutus, a plethora of pink, a kaleidoscope of vibrant hues - all culminating in a truly divine ballet show featuring talented, gifted dancers, telling stories with their feet! I’m delighted to tell you that I had a lovely chance to speak with one of the lead dancers, she shared how she got her inspiration to wear her tutu, and it really made me think...
That brings me to one of my favourite things, a true passion - ballet! As some of you know, my first love in this glorious world of fashion and entertainment was ballet - and what was the first thing I had to wear for my very first class, you might ask? That’s right: a glorious, sparkly pink tutu! That day I knew my fate was sealed, to be a glittering pink tutu wearing icon, for all eternity! And, although I’ve spent a lifetime promoting all things pink, I have to give credit where credit is due; ballet was the very start of my tutu journey!
If you’ve read this far, you've likely heard of my scientific endeavours too! Now I love a good fashion story, and perhaps a trip to Bicester Village or even a ballet show will do wonders for inspiring me in my own research. But even amongst my test tubes and flasks, you know I find time to keep my favourite sparkly tutu close by!
The next stop is Cheltenham! I've got some exciting performance opportunities lined up at a vibrant fair, and you just know it will involve some colourful and fun tutus!
