Hello my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and guess what? This little bird is flitting off to Bristol today! I can't wait to take you on this fabulous adventure with me, it's going to be a hoot!
So, it's off on the train this morning, Bristol here I come! The journey from Derbyshire might be a bit of a trundle but I can't think of a better way to travel. The view from the window will be utterly stunning, with the rolling hills and quaint villages whizzing past - I'm just hoping we don't get caught in one of those "Oh bother, it's snowing again" kind of delays! I've got my pink tulle scarf to keep my delicate neck warm, my pink knitted bobble hat to add some sparkly charm, and I'm rocking my trusty pink patent leather handbag - I've been using this gorgeous thing since I first ventured onto the London scene - so chic!
The first thing I'm doing is going to a delightful little shop on the cobbled streets of Bristol. It's a little boutique called 'Pink Petal' and they have the most incredible selection of tutus imaginable - think shimmering pink chiffon, glorious layers of tulle in every shade of pink from soft baby pink to candy floss pink and even a few glittery ombre designs. They also have this fabulous selection of pink silk ballet shoes, oh darling, you've just GOT to see them - the perfect way to complete the look, darling! And, you know, if the owner doesn't mind a chat I might just show her my fabulous line of pink tutus I've created for my own drag show - they're made with all sorts of unique materials, it's simply dazzling.
Now, Bristol has an exciting energy I can just feel it bubbling up! This evening I'll be doing a little performance at a lovely restaurant in the heart of the city called The Cabaret Café. I just adore a performance where I can interact with my audience, I truly feel like a little butterfly flitting from table to table, dazzling the punters with a touch of pink glittery magic! It's such a joy to see those lovely ladies' eyes widen with excitement as I pop up beside them and do my signature 'Pink Tutu Sparkle' pirouette, they truly love the show, my dears, love it. And who knows what I might have up my sleeve tonight - a bit of improvised dancing, a surprise pink confetti burst... oh darling, this is what makes it all so exciting!
Tomorrow is the big one though, I've been asked to judge a 'Tutu for a Day' competition in the park - that's right, a whole park of twirling tutus - I can't tell you how delighted I am about that. I've already got a judging sheet ready - how many sparkles per tutu, tutu design and creativity, tutu flair... you know the kind of thing - oh, I am already so excited! My favourite part, though, is when the children who aren't competing all gather around for their own little mini performance. There's something so sweet and innocent about these tiny tutus dancing to the tunes I blast out on my phone! My mission to get everyone wearing a pink tutu, one little dancer at a time... I'm getting closer each and every day.
After the judging, it's onto a ballet class! Oh how I adore those beautiful little steps and spins and stretches, even if I sometimes forget to take off my make-up beforehand! The teacher, Miss Poppy, always has a little chuckle over that, bless her heart. "Oh darling," she'll say, "you do know that's quite the stage look!" I can't help it, sometimes I find myself flitting into class in full 'Pink Tutu Sparkle' mode - it does make my arabesques that much more dramatic, you know!
And to round off my little trip, I'm going to spend some time in one of Bristol's most magnificent places, the Clifton Suspension Bridge. This place has just something, darling, the combination of history, natural beauty and that view - you just feel like you are floating on a pink cloud, ready to soar into a world of pink sparkly bliss! I'm thinking I'll even do my first ever impromptu "Pink Tutu Sparkles" show at the foot of the bridge, if I can convince the friendly crowds to join me. They're already dancing when I perform, they are bound to join me for a few twirls in my own personal tribute to the beauty of Bristol.
Well my darlings, I have to get ready now, the train's leaving soon and I need to pack my sparkly ballet bag! It's just overflowing with sequins, tulle and glitter - everything I need for a glamorous adventure. I will be writing to you again soon to share all the latest gossip from my big pink heart.
