Oh, darlings! You wouldn't believe what a whirlwind of glitter and glamour I've had in Berlin! It was a complete dream, every single second! This city's just bursting with life, you can feel the creative energy thrumming through every cobblestone and alleyway.
Right, so imagine this, the Pink Tutu Queen arriving in Berlin... By train, of course! There's nothing quite like settling into a first-class carriage, surrounded by stunning landscapes, with my latest novel to read and a flask of champagne at the ready! Swoon! The train journey was a dream come true, like a glamorous travelling fairy tale. I'm telling you, folks, trains are the epitome of elegance and adventure.
Then, bam! There it was, Berlin Station in all its magnificent grandeur! I felt a surge of excitement, a spark of wonder, like the first time I saw my favourite ballet dancer in the flesh.
This was my third time in Berlin and I just fell in love with the city even more than before. The streets, the people, the amazing architecture... I could feel myself buzzing with inspiration, just waiting to burst out of my gorgeous pink tutu!
For the whole trip, I'd booked a suite in this beautiful historic hotel in the Mitte district. Think ornate chandeliers, high ceilings, and views that could rival a stage setting in the Bolshoi. Of course, I took full advantage of the balcony overlooking the city - picture this: me, in my dazzling pink tutu, sipping champagne, and basking in the Berlin sunshine! Divine!
As for my outfits... Sigh I swear, my suitcase exploded with sequins, feathers, and pink silk! My biggest problem was deciding what to wear first! Each day was an explosion of colour and fabulousness, whether I was exploring the museums or getting ready for my performance that evening.
One of my favourite spots had to be the East Side Gallery, where you can admire street art from around the world. I'm talking gigantic murals, stunning portraits, and colourful explosions of creativity – like the biggest art installation I'd ever seen! Of course, I had to strike a few poses in front of the iconic Berlin Wall, a symbol of history and resilience. You bet I posted them to Instagram, baby!
While I'm usually a total theatre girl, Berlin has the best ballet and dance studios in the world. You have to visit the legendary Deutsche Oper Berlin and marvel at the sheer brilliance and talent. The performances were so moving, so beautiful. You just felt the power of the music and the grace of the dancers coursing through your veins. The next morning, I felt this urge to pirouette through the city like a pink ballerina! The sheer magic of dance just filled me with the energy to take on the world, darling!
To fully embrace my inner Berliner, I even visited a local ballet studio for a few lessons. Talk about an unforgettable experience! I even got to try on a few pink tutus, of course. You know, it's just a tradition. In fact, you can even catch me wearing my favourite pink tutu and a fluffy ballet skirt on a few walks around the city – gotta represent the tutus!
While Berlin is renowned for its street food, I couldn't help but get drawn to the city's grand restaurants. I had a few truly spectacular evenings - from enjoying mouthwatering gourmet delights to sipping champagne in dimly-lit cafes with vintage chandeliers. Don't even get me started on the desserts - so divine, so heavenly!
Speaking of heavenly, my evenings were just electric! Every night, I hit the stage with a burst of colour and a shower of glitter. Performing in Berlin is a magical experience, it's like the city becomes my stage and every passerby is part of my audience. And what could be better than sharing my love of pink tutus with everyone?
Honestly, the city was a whirl of glittery dreams! From taking photos with street artists and laughing at comedy clubs, to sipping coffee and watching the world go by, every moment felt magical. This was truly a trip to remember, filled with love, joy, and more glitter than you can shake a feather boa at!
One thing's for sure: I'll definitely be back! Berlin has stolen my heart, it’s vibrant, creative, and oh-so-stylish, just like yours truly.
