Ahoy darlings! It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, coming at you live from the land of … Edmonton! That's right, I've hopped on a train - a real, bona fide train - all the way across Canada. I had to change trains in Winnipeg (and let me tell you, that's one gigantic train station!) but I felt like a true railway heroine the whole time! The best part is that this trip is taking me to one of my all-time favourite destinations - Edmonton!
Remember back in Post 4444 when I was gushing about Edmonton’s breathtaking ballet scene? Well, let me tell you, my darling darlings, that experience did not disappoint! I saw a performance at the Citadel Theatre – the costumes were incredible, the choreography was so elegant and fluid – I felt my heart soar! Then I even squeezed in a ballet class at the local dance studio. Oh my stars, those girls were incredible! I might even try out a couple of moves next time - maybe a sassy grand jeté, but only once I’ve got my tutus all carefully organized in my sparkly travel trunk, of course!
Before Edmonton, I spent some magical time in Calgary. Now, that was an adventure in itself! We were going to travel by horse - yes, a whole horse-drawn carriage - to the fair, but then there was a little bit of an incident - let's just say, "overzealous ponies"! We had to take the good old faithful public transport instead. You know, the kind that takes you places, without being a little “horsy”. I mean, you know how it is, when there’s tutus and sequins involved, things can sometimes get a little bit chaotic, and you wouldn’t want your perfect tutu to get, well, slightly pony-toed, would you? 😉
So we found ourselves on a glorious bus ride, windows open, air fresh and vibrant. The best bit about travel in Canada is definitely the landscape - those breathtaking mountain views! If you ever need a place for a glamorous glamping adventure, you HAVE to get to the Canadian Rockies.
And as always, darling, I'm looking FAB! This outfit has been a triumph, perfectly coordinating with the Edmonton vibes! Pink tutu, of course - wouldn’t dream of it any other way, pink sparkly sequins all over it - sparkles are my jam. This time, I went for a full-blown ballet theme, a sleek satin bodice in a beautiful powder blue, and the prettiest ballet shoe earrings that I found in a tiny vintage store tucked away on a little side street. Now you know what's really great, darling? These shops here are absolutely crammed with vintage beauties. Some gorgeous stuff that just shouts for my fashion eye to scoop it up. Let me tell you, you can find everything from sequined boleros to feathered hats. All begging to be transformed by my special touch!
Don't worry darling, I’ll tell you all about my glamorous outfit adventures tomorrow! I’ve got a full diary, with so much to share. And the absolute BEST part is? I'll be at the "Sparkle and Shine" fashion show on Saturday! There’s a competition between the designers, with amazing prizes! Can’t tell you too much right now - it's a secret, my little bird! But let’s just say the whole place is gonna sparkle, and maybe… just maybe you might even spot my special sparkly pink tutus getting involved. I think the organizers just might have a "Best Tutu Design" category, don't you think? Fingers crossed!
