Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you a fabulously pink, tutu-filled update straight from the heart of Hornchurch! 🎉
This delightful town just outside London is a total gem for a drag queen on the go, and I wouldn't trade this adventure for the world. Just a short (but incredibly picturesque) train journey away from my Derbyshire digs, I was whisked away on a whirlwind of sparkly, glittery, and absolutely stunning performances, a perfect day trip for this tutu-obsessed girl!
As always, before any performance, I have to do a bit of window shopping. You can never have too many sequins, darling! It was a little spree, naturally, through Hornchurch High Street, where I was quite taken by the most beautiful vintage pink dress shop! 🛍️ Honestly, my inner child (and my tutu-loving soul) practically squealed! And I managed to snag the perfect piece for a cheeky number - it's just whispers a teensy bit scandalous! 🤫
After all, a queen always needs a good showpiece! You'd be amazed by the little things that inspire me for a new dance routine! A bright shop window display, a mischievous bird chirping on a rooftop - you never know when your muse will strike! 🐦
For my Hornchurch performance, I've gone all out with my signature pink tulle (it's a must, you know!) - but with a cheeky little twist. Think bright pink ombre cascading down, a sparkling butterfly detail at the hem, and feathers galore! ✨ Just wait till you see the finale - my sequined wings have a secret! I won't spoil the surprise, though! You'll have to come see for yourselves! 💖
And before I step onto that stage, it's time for some pre-show ballet stretches! I've always adored ballet, it's all about grace and movement - which of course, are important when performing! It's a little bit of me that's been there since my university days, when I accidentally tried on a pink tutu for a charity event, and BAM! Pink tutu love! ✨ (It probably helped that the entire university ballet club laughed when they saw me in it - a laugh that I hope translates into applause! 💖).
While I was here in Hornchurch, I just had to take a look at their beautiful theatre. You know I have a huge soft spot for old theatre architecture - the history is palpable, the energy is magical. It reminds me why I love being a performer. And, what's better than a beautifully crafted stage with its intricate details, but the thought of performing upon it! 😉
As my little pink tutu adventures continue, I'm thrilled to be bringing "The Pink Tutu Sparkle Show" to more fabulous venues, towns, and villages. (The pink tutu movement needs to be worldwide, darling!). But my next stop is....🤫 (Sorry to be a tease! But you'll just have to follow the blog and find out, dear!). 💖
