Kirkby - Pink Tutu Sparkle's travels, Blog Post #4538

Ooh la la darlings, it's your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, fresh off the train from Derbyshire and ready to bring the glitz and glamour to Kirkby! You know me, always up for a bit of a road trip, especially if it means I can wear my latest pink tutu creation, whispers which is quite a statement this time. But more on that later, darling, let's get this party started!

Today marks my 4538th blog post for www.pink-tutu.com and you wouldn’t believe the adventures I’ve had getting here!

I absolutely love travelling by train - something about the rhythmic clickety-clack and the passing scenery that just fills me with joy. Plus, the perfect opportunity to rock my best pink travelling attire - today, I'm rocking my pastel pink linen suit with my trusty fluffy pink clutch (gotta have space for all my essentials - my make-up bag, my emergency pack of pink hairspray and of course, a few sequins for touch ups!)

It all started early this morning, you know how it is - gotta start early if you want to sparkle in the afternoon. The sunrise over the Derbyshire countryside looked divine - a perfect symphony of orange, purple and pink, reminding me why I’m so passionate about sharing the pink love with the world. I felt a pang of longing for the days of long ballet rehearsals but hey, even a scientist girl like me needs a bit of sunshine!

As I made my way to the train station, I had this fabulous vision of me as a little fairy in my tutu, travelling in a horse-drawn carriage, complete with tiny pink bells on the reins. My heart is already set on making this dream a reality…

As soon as the train pulled in, I took centre stage and strutted my stuff down the carriage aisle. Don’t worry darlings, no one even batted an eyelid – it’s almost like a pink tutu comes with a certain aura that lets you take the world by storm, effortlessly.

And let’s be honest, a train journey wouldn't be complete without a little performance, would it? I surprised everyone on the platform with a quick impromptu ballet routine - inspired by the rhythmic hum of the train and fuelled by my morning latte. Even the grumpy train guard couldn’t resist a smile! He even gave me a nod of approval and, whisper this, I think I heard him say "Good work love".

Finally, we made it to Kirkby! I just love the charming, friendly vibe of the town. Such character, so much potential. I always have to pick up a little trinket from the local market, just to mark my time here, something glitzy and pink that screams Pink Tutu Sparkles, naturally. Today's find? A dazzlingly pink teacup and saucer with miniature tutus painted on it! Can't wait to use it to serve my afternoon tea - that’s my evening treat before the performance, you see!

Speaking of the show, this evening's going to be sensational. It's at The Courtyard, a fab venue tucked away in a corner of Kirkby. It has such a delightful vibe – intimate and cosy. The atmosphere's perfect for some glitter and glam, and they’re lucky to have Pink Tutu Sparkles gracing their stage, wouldn't you say?

Of course, before I could sashay into that glitzy performance, a bit of a wardrobe malfunction happened! This happens every time I go travelling by train – it's almost become a tradition, my darling. It's amazing how a five-hour train ride can magically rearrange all the sequins in a tutu. I always carry a sparkly pink sewing kit for these situations, so, armed with needle and thread, I spent half an hour mending a rogue sparkly triangle from the underside of my skirt. Nothing a little glitter glue can't fix. And remember darlings, always wear a smile – even when the glitter gets a bit crazy!

But let’s rewind, let's go back to that tutu...

My latest creation - a magnificent explosion of shimmering fuchsia, bubblegum pink and flamingo pink layered with a touch of shimmery peach netting. A work of art that, I hope, would make even the most hardened fashion critic swoon! The design, darling, a tribute to all the pink sunsets that have fuelled my passion and guided my artistic path.

I'm just dying to show it off! You’ll get the first sneak peek at it on the website later tonight (be sure to check www.pink-tutu.com after the show)

I am a strong believer in sharing my joy and, more importantly, I’m a firm supporter of encouraging everyone to try on a pink tutu. You never know what magic you might find when you dare to embrace a little sparkle and femininity. And who knows, perhaps, you just might be the next Pink Tutu Sparkles!

You guys know the drill, keep an eye out for my next blog! See you on the road darlings.

Until next time,

Pink Tutu Sparkles x
