Maybe it's the proximity to all those fields of lavender, or maybe it's just the delightful buzz of excitement knowing I'm here to bring you a touch of pink magic.
I arrived, naturally, by train! I just love the rhythmic clattering, the swaying of the carriages, and the sense of adventure it conjures up. You just know a journey by train will be a journey of pure glamour and glitz. And speaking of glam, did I tell you about my latest frock? A fabulous pink number, cinched in at the waist and trailing a magnificent tulle skirt! Imagine, a masterpiece made of feathers, lace, and shimmering sequins, all in my favourite hue - pink, of course! 💕
I've been performing at the local fair this week. You wouldn't believe the turnout, it was a roaring success, the best I've seen in ages! Kids, mums, granddads - everyone was cheering, clapping, and throwing glitter!
Honestly, I could perform in a pink tutu all day long and not feel a bit tired! The energy of the audience feeds me, makes me twirl, shimmy, and shine even brighter. There’s nothing like seeing the joy in people’s faces when they see a shimmering, twirling tutu in all its pink glory. My mission, darling, is to make the world a pink tutu-ful place, and this performance felt like a major step forward!
The fair was also a great spot for some retail therapy, as every queen knows! I spotted a divine lavender and pink patterned clutch bag, perfect for holding my essential make-up brushes.
After my afternoon performance, I had the most exquisite surprise. A local ballet school, the Bishops Stortford Ballet Academy, invited me for a guest appearance. I've been meaning to take a class there, so naturally, I accepted with glee! The young ladies, and gentlemen, were a joy to dance with. Such poise and elegance! Their eagerness to learn ballet and their pure love for dancing truly inspires me. They are, of course, already budding stars in my eyes!
During our session, the instructors surprised me with a handmade crown of miniature tutus, just my size. They even gifted me a hand-stitched pink ballerina-shaped keyring to take back home to my own, small collection. Honestly, I nearly melted into a puddle of blush. It was all just so perfectly pink!
Before I leave Bishops Stortford, there's one more treat on the menu - a visit to the renowned Hare & Hounds restaurant! Now, darling, you simply have to believe me when I say that they have the best roast dinners in the whole country. They served me up a truly majestic portion, and the Yorkshire puddings, my dears, were colossal. Every bit of it was simply scrumptious! I think it’s fair to say, I’ve discovered the perfect combination - pink tutus, ballet, and delicious roasts, a triple threat of wonder!
Honestly, darling, Bishops Stortford has stolen my heart! It’s the kind of place that makes me believe that everything truly is possible if you put your mind to it, dress up in pink and sparkle, and take a leap of faith!
