Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes On Whitley Bay! (Post #4577)

Darlings, hello! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the absolutely divine seaside town of Whitley Bay. Honestly, this place is like stepping into a vintage postcard, with its beautiful promenade, those quirky beach huts and that sparkling sea (pun intended!).

But, before I share all the fabulousness of this trip, letโ€™s have a little tutucation moment. Now, every true Pink Tutu Sparkles fan knows I love my tutus! I mean, the froof, the frou-frou, the swishy, the twirly! It's basically my life's mission to get everyone twirling in a pink tutu! It's a message of joy, sparkle and confidence, and honestly, what's not to love?

Okay, so this Whitley Bay adventure almost didn't happen. You see, I'd been eyeing up a vintage lace tutu I found at a super chic vintage shop in York last month and it was just begging for a trip to the seaside. The problem? The venue for the charity event in Whitley Bay I was booked for didn't allow for costumes... Oh, the heartbreak!

Well, let's just say this Pink Tutu Sparkles is no quitter! I knew, with my scientific mind (remember, I'm a proper lab-rat by day!), I could find a scientific solution! After several hours, many tests, and a lot of trial and error (and a little bit of glitter, of course!), I devised a totally amazing pink tutu outfit that met the event's criteria and would still allow me to twirl my heart out. Let's just say a lot of super secret sewing and tulle magic were involved! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And twirl, I did! It was a total success! My Pink Tutu Sparkles energy ignited the whole event! It was so amazing seeing the smiles on people's faces as they watched me tutu it up, and even the organisers seemed to loosen up a little! They even let me do my signature sparkly twirl and shimmy at the end of the show - you have to watch the footage on my website, www.pink-tutu.com (hint: the confetti explosion is epic!).

But the fun wasnโ€™t just about the performance, darlings. Before the show, I absolutely had to hit those vintage shops in Whitley Bay. It's my mantra โ€“ always a detour for the perfect outfit! And let me tell you, it was a vintage haul for the ages! From a stunning lilac velvet cape that totally needed to be part of my next performance (canโ€™t wait to reveal the look on social media, darling!) to a fabulous pink feathered fascinator, I left those shops glowing!

You see, being Pink Tutu Sparkles isn't just about the performance, darlings. Itโ€™s about experiencing everything life throws at you, be it a trip on a steam train to Whitby (yes, another fabulous adventure!), or a picnic by the beach, all in Pink Tutu Sparkles style. This trip was a celebration of life, of style, and of embracing that little bit of sparkle within us all.

So, now, for some fabulous details on Whitley Bay:

Where to Stay:

Okay, letโ€™s get down to brass tacks: location is everything! And Whitley Bay absolutely delivers on this front. If you are feeling fancy, you must book yourself a stay at the Grand Hotel, its art deco charm and spectacular views will take your breath away! If you're looking for a more relaxed vibe, the Spanish City Dome (the one with the amazing views from its revolving tower) has cute, colourful cottages. There's a whole vibe happening, darling, trust me!

Things To Do:

  • Stroll the promenade: This place is literally made for twirling in your favourite tutu, or simply grabbing a delicious ice cream from one of the charming kiosks and basking in the sun.

  • Discover the North Sea: Now, I'm not talking about dipping your toes in a puddle, darling, but the sea in Whitley Bay has beaches! There are long sandy beaches perfect for strolling or even (with proper shoes and some water-resistant pink glitter, of course) a good beach run (just don't forget the all important tutu protection)!

    • Delve into the History: This place is filled with historic landmarks and buildings. You absolutely have to visit the iconic Spanish City Dome! Its Moorish-inspired design (complete with its famous revolving tower, an iconic piece of architectural design) is mesmerising, darlings.

Where to Eat:

From fish and chips (letโ€™s be honest, the iconic seaside food, must have!), to the delicious food trucks, Whitley Bay offers so much to the gourmet traveller. Honestly, I had such amazing high tea with all the classic delights (think little finger sandwiches and lashings of champagne โ€“ it's like having tea in a fairy-tale!), that I could practically die. If you love fish, don't miss The Fish Shack (I devoured their perfectly seared scallops โ€“ heaven!) for the freshest catches of the day.

And of course, I have to end on a little Pink Tutu Sparkles pep talk:

It's important to celebrate your unique style, darling. Never be afraid to be bold, colourful, and expressive. Donโ€™t be afraid to try things. To experiment! To embrace lifeโ€™s sparkle and magic. So go on, darling, be your most fabulous self, and remember, there is always room for a bit of Pink Tutu Sparkles in your life.

Now, darling, go on, sparkle, twirl, and make the world a brighter, pinker place!

Until next time!

Yours in twirls and sparkle, Pink Tutu Sparkles ๐Ÿ’–โœจ๐Ÿ’•
