I even managed to squeeze in a visit to the iconic Falkirk Wheel, where I, of course, had to take a photo with my fabulous pink tutu perched gracefully on the majestic structure!
After all, let's face it, it's not every day that a queen in a pink tutu gets to be the centre of attention, even in a place as breathtakingly beautiful as the Falkirk Wheel. The whole day was like a dream – filled with smiling faces, delighted gasps, and lots of laughs. I even managed to teach some little ones a few twirls – always a highlight of my day.
It was hard to believe that, just a few short years ago, I was a quiet, timid scientist in Derbyshire. Who would have guessed that a little pink tutu would spark such a huge passion in me? Back then, I was in the university ballet club, doing some fundraising and decided to try on a tutu. From that moment, everything changed.
Suddenly, life felt more magical, and I discovered a hidden part of myself I never knew existed. By day, I work in a lab testing fabrics – it's certainly not as sparkly as my stage life, but it keeps the bills paid!
