As you know, I’m a firm believer that life is about chasing those twirling dreams, and this trip to Bridlington was no exception! My inner ballerina was screaming for some sea air and a spot of culture, and honestly, who am I to say no to that? 😉
First off, let’s talk about the journey! I had a blast on the train, it really is the best way to travel. Watching the countryside zip past the window is pure magic, and it gives you a chance to people watch (always a favourite activity). Of course, I had to turn heads in my signature Pink Tutu Sparkles outfit: a hot pink tulle skirt, a shimmery sequined top and my trusty feather boa, accessorized with a pair of darling pink stilettos. It’s not just about the clothes, it’s about feeling confident and ready to spread the pink tutu love! ✨
Upon arrival, I headed straight to the stunning Bridlington Spa. What a sight! I’m a huge fan of grand, historic buildings with all that intricate detail, and this spa ticked all the boxes! The Victorian architecture really does take your breath away, not to mention the gorgeous ballroom. You could just picture the graceful waltzes and romantic evenings that have taken place within those walls, it gave me a bit of a theatrical buzz, just the inspiration I needed!
Now, no trip to the coast would be complete without a proper seafront stroll, wouldn't it? I simply adore those old-fashioned amusement arcades, with their flashing lights, quirky games and the scent of candy floss – pure nostalgia! But of course, what really makes this seaside trip special is the promenade. The crisp sea air, the roar of the waves, the endless sky... It’s pure bliss, and makes me feel so inspired to put my own performance energy out there! ✨
While I was there, I managed to catch a captivating ballet performance at Bridlington's Royal Hall, showcasing some exceptional talent. Talk about inspirational! The dancers were incredible – they had me captivated from start to finish. The grace, the precision, the dedication - it really does set my soul on fire! 🔥 Seeing them on stage made me wish I could be up there twirling alongside them, but hey, who knows, maybe one day I will be!
This trip really reinforced my belief that pink tutus can add a little sparkle to any journey! 🌈 The energy in Bridlington was absolutely buzzing, and everyone I met was so welcoming and friendly! I stumbled upon the magic of the pink tutu when I was at university, studying… get this… science! 🤯 Turns out, science is about so much more than lab coats and test tubes! I was part of the uni's ballet club, and during a fundraising event, I decided to try on a pink tutu. From the moment I saw my reflection, I knew I’d found my calling! I felt empowered, fearless, and, honestly, quite fabulous! That was the day Pink Tutu Sparkles was born! 💖
By day, I continue to put my science skills to use working in a lab, testing all sorts of exciting fabrics! That way, I know exactly what fabrics I need for those perfect tutus! 🧪
And by night, well, that’s when my drag persona comes alive! Every performance is a chance to embrace my love for dance, theatre and of course, those beautiful pink tutus. 💕
My drag journey has been a whirlwind! I've travelled to some incredible places, from bustling London stages to charming countryside fairs. My favourite mode of transport, you ask? Definitely the train, it gives me a chance to plan out my next fabulous look! 😉
