I arrived in style, of course - by train! I love the rhythmic clickety-clack as it rumbles along the track, like a dance of its own. The only downside is getting your massive wig jammed in the luggage rack, but hey, you win some, you lose some!
After settling into a fabulous B&B where the host is actually a delightful fellow ballet fan, it was time for a wardrobe change and some quick rehearsal. To finish the trip, I took in a fantastic performance at the Kirkby Theatre. They were putting on a rendition of The Nutcracker - a real treat for the soul and an inspiration to my ballet moves!
