Helloooo my gorgeous darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, bringing you a whole new level of fabulous from the wonderful seaside town of Cleethorpes!
I’m officially smitten with this place! It’s like a blast from the past with its Victorian architecture, buzzing arcade, and all the delicious fish and chips you can eat! This queen is all about embracing vintage charm, and Cleethorpes absolutely nailed it!
It was a long journey, but oh my darlings, nothing beats a train trip for catching up on the latest ballet and fashion magazines! And you can bet your bottom dollar that Pink Tutu Sparkles’ seat was reserved for her glamorous self!
This time I opted for a pale pink feather boa and my sequined pink top. Oh, the outfit is a complete masterpiece – you wouldn't believe the colour coordination with the cherry blossom print skirt! As soon as I get my act on at the Pier, you can be sure I’ll snap a pic to share on my blog! And who knows, maybe we'll even get a snap of some enthusiastic locals in their own tutu creations! You see, I always have my Pink Tutu Sparkles “Wear a Tutu” signs ready to spread the love – because everyone deserves a dose of that fluffy, pink goodness, don't you agree?
But before we dive into the world of Cleethorpes glamour, let's take a little stroll down memory lane. Back when I was studying for my science degree (a complete whirlwind of formulas and chemical compounds, my darlings!), I joined the university ballet club. Oh, it was glorious! I mean, imagine, leaping and pirouette-ing in my favourite pink ballet leotard! That's where it happened – I had my first encounter with a pink tutu for a charity fundraiser.
One try-on and BAM! I was absolutely mesmerized. The tulle, the flow, the way it transformed me into a ballerina-drag queen… it was a dream come true! That was the day I knew I had to be Pink Tutu Sparkles and bring that pink tulle magic to the world!
And let me tell you, being Pink Tutu Sparkles by night and Alex the Scientist by day isn’t as easy as it looks! Juggling those chemical reactions and finding the perfect shade of pink can be tricky – but I always find a way! Honestly, sometimes I’m testing a new batch of lipstick colours in the lab, and you can bet that's the closest my lab coat gets to a tutu! (Okay, I'm not really putting lipstick in the test tubes, it’s just a little drag queen joke - let’s keep that under wraps for the lab, darlings!🤫 )
The journey here to Cleethorpes involved some exciting travel. One of the most interesting adventures was my ride on a charming vintage double-decker bus, all decked out in vintage rose gold accents and plush velvet seats – such class! A delightful encounter with the driver even made it all the more memorable. I may not be in Derbyshire anymore, but those rural English charm days certainly haven't disappeared. There’s a special magic to those rolling green hills and sleepy villages.
Speaking of charm, my recent ballet class (always a necessity!) had me feeling extra sparkly. Honestly, it's not easy keeping those tutu twirls pristine between shows! One little rogue twig, a clumsy dance step, and poof - you have a tutu with a snag! Fortunately, my darling seamstress is a miracle worker! But the most important thing, I've realised, is not perfection, but enjoying the experience. Ballet is about moving your body gracefully and expressing your creativity. You don't need to be the most elegant dancer in the world, you just need to love it. And that's my biggest passion – I’m just in love with every pink tutu I see!
Back to Cleethorpes, my darlings! This town's seaside charm has already brought out the playful spirit in this queen. I can’t wait to discover all the delights this seaside town has to offer! Of course, I’ll be taking my “Wear a Tutu” mission to heart. It’s more than just wearing a tutu, darlings, it's about celebrating all that’s colourful, positive, and sparkly in this crazy world! It's a symbol of freedom, fun, and individuality, something we all need more of! I can see myself now – wearing a hot pink tulle masterpiece, dancing on the beach with all my amazing fans. And you bet, there’ll be a photo op to capture the magic for all of you!
