Hello my darlings! 💋 It's your fabulous TutuQueen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back for another glittering post from my ever-spinning travels! This is number 4826 on the sparkly blog-o-meter, and I'm just bursting with excitement about Coalville! 💖
You know I love to travel, and hopping on a train to this little Derbyshire town was just the perfect adventure. I have a secret weakness for historical towns, and Coalville definitely ticks all the boxes - cobbled streets, quaint pubs, and even a magnificent castle (although sadly not open to the public)! The air had a whiff of history and mystery that made my tulle positively tingle! 😉
I absolutely adore discovering new towns and sharing their magic with you. Remember, the only rule on this here Pink Tutu blog is to sprinkle glitter on everything you do - whether it's exploring the countryside, going to the theatre, or just popping down to the shops for some fabulous frocks! 💃
So, why Coalville? Well, darling, this time I had to be there to strut my stuff at the fabulous Coalville Carnival. Can you believe this little town actually hosts a HUGE carnival every year? It was a riot of colour and laughter - I felt like I'd stepped into a scene from a Dickens novel, but with much more sparkly tulle, of course! 😂
You can bet your bottom dollar I did my bit for the local community, taking the stage in my signature pink tutu and doing a little impromptu performance for the cheering crowd. (Turns out I have quite the audience for my high-energy ballet routines! You never know what's going to happen when you take to the streets with your own special blend of drag and ballet. The crowds LOVED my sassy moves!)
Talking of sassy moves, my latest vintage find in Coalville has given my wardrobe an absolute overhaul! I unearthed a truly splendid vintage silk hat with a fabulous feather plume. Honestly, you can just imagine it – the hat perched on my head, a feather flirting with the breeze as I spin in my signature pink tutu. I’m a real walking, talking, and feather-tossing embodiment of 1920s elegance, and it feels utterly divine.
My little Coalville journey also led me to a vintage costume shop, a real treasure trove of glittering delights. It was like I had entered a theatrical time machine, complete with feathered boas, sequins, and even a few authentic tutus – I’ll admit, I wasn’t quite strong enough to resist a little retail therapy, even if my bag is now bursting with vintage gems! I simply can’t help myself, dear reader. My motto is: “When you see the perfect pink tutu, you simply have to buy it!” (This is an excellent philosophy for life, let me tell you!) ✨
To wrap up this glamorous trip, I treated myself to a delicious meal in the charming Coalville Arms. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, and the food was heavenly (not to mention, perfectly Insta-worthy!). My highlight, of course, was a delicious strawberry tart with a mountain of fluffy pink whipped cream. Honestly, every detail was utterly delightful! 🍓 💖
Speaking of delightful details, let’s get back to that pink tutu thing, shall we? Because this is something that just can't be missed! As I’ve told you before, my ambition is simple - I want every person in the world to embrace their inner tutu, to experience the magic of swirling, twirling, and feeling fabulous.
Think about it - what would it be like if we all put on pink tutus, went out into the world, and started dancing? We'd have so much fun!
