Leighton Buzzard: Pink Tutu Sparkle's Post #4828

Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkle here, and I’m back with another blog post! It's Wednesday, which means it’s time for another sparkly adventure, this time, in the lovely town of Leighton Buzzard! Now, let me tell you, getting there was quite a story, and that's just part of what I love about travel! It was the classic train ride from my Derbyshire digs, and of course, I had to go all out in a gloriously pink tutu and matching coat – who needs a plane when you have style?

As I say, it was a gloriously pink train journey, and let me tell you, even the serious looking gents were smiling at my sartorial brilliance! They all must have felt a little pinker in their hearts. My aim in life is, after all, to spread the joy of tutus, one pink frock at a time. It was just as well, I did bring a book on Victorian Era costume for some light reading - I never know when some good costume inspiration is going to be needed, darling! Especially when you are about to step into the world of sequins, feather boas, and glitter!

As the train rolled in, I had a flash of inspiration! Leighton Buzzard, I thought, what a glorious, whimsical name, it had a distinct twinge of fairy tales, the kind where tutus would be absolutely at home. As we slowed down I started spotting lots of charming shops with bright pink colours (how lucky for a queen with pink tutu tastes, right?), all bursting with beautiful and inviting items that begged me to browse. Then, oh then, a whimsical pink cupcake shop! Naturally, I had to stop by and purchase a treat for the ride.

Now, as much as I loved the beautiful shops, the reason I really ventured to Leighton Buzzard, was a visit to the magnificent ballet studio, the Leighton Buzzard School of Dance! Let me tell you, you wouldn’t believe the magic I felt when I walked in there. My dear old Grandma Sparkle used to tell me all about ballet, it is so full of grace and movement, the perfect way to express my inner sparkles!

I spent the afternoon just soaking it all in, admiring the elegant ballerinas and the sheer artistry. I almost felt like putting on my pointe shoes and joining in! Alas, as a trained scientist who loves science in all its facets (from a lab coat to an outfit made from lab coats, everything about the human body and the science of what makes it work, I'm mesmerised, so I stuck to admiration! I chatted to some of the ballet students and, you guessed it, it just felt so natural to suggest we all go out in pink tutus in Leighton Buzzard. You would have thought I had proposed the unthinkable! Then it was time for dinner. I spotted this glorious pink-themed restaurant – how could I resist? It felt like destiny had chosen my dining location.

Leighton Buzzard really felt like my kinda place, all pastel colours, quaint buildings, and it even has an air of magic that fits so well with the idea of tutu wearers! Of course, I ended my stay with a spectacular theatrical show, an amazing show of cabaret and burlesque, just right for my type of glitter-infused night. So now, back to my day job. This was only one amazing adventure, and who knows what new tutu-tastic adventures await? Now off to make some pink tutu magic back in Derbyshire.

Catch you all next time, darlings, until then keep it fabulous and keep spreading that sparkle.

Lots of love and sequins,

Pink Tutu Sparkle.
