Of course, a trip to Wigston Magna wouldn't be complete without a little visit to the fabulous Wigston Library. Not only does it boast a spectacularly well-stocked selection of children's books - I absolutely adore a well-loved children's story! But I must confess, the best part is the "Little Wigston Theatre!" Yes, you read that right! Imagine a teeny tiny stage in a tiny town tucked away in the heart of Leicestershire. Absolutely enchanting, darling! Now you understand why I've named this blog post "Wigston Magna"!
But enough about my day. Let's talk tutus! Oh my, it wouldn't be a true Pink Tutu Sparkles blog post without a sprinkle of sparkly tulle. Today, my darlings, I chose to shimmer in a vibrant pink and lilac creation. Honestly, you could practically hear the sparkle of the sequins!
And you know what else? I was so inspired by my trip to Wigston Library that I just had to pop into the "Little Wigston Theatre." They were putting on a performance of a classic ballet called The Nutcracker. I mean, The Nutcracker?! The Nutcracker!! I can't believe my luck! It was pure, shimmering magic, and you just know a pink tutu was perfectly suited for the occasion! I practically vibrated with joy, twirling amongst the delightful townies. They were thrilled to meet Pink Tutu Sparkles. The smiles, my darlings, the smiles...
Speaking of smiles, I even got to meet a delightful group of ladies who are taking a beginner's ballet class. Let me tell you, darling, they were a joy! These girls had just a smidgen of ballet knowledge. We laughed, we giggled, we even managed a tiny bit of plié. Such an amazing group of women, and not one of them shy away from a good photo with Pink Tutu Sparkles! It just makes me believe everyone has a sprinkle of pink tutu magic within them. I just know a little pink sparkle can make even the dullest day oh-so-bright!
My evening, my lovely darlings, was pure magic. I was booked to perform at the Wigston Fair, yes, you read that right - Wigston Fair! It was a little overwhelming at first. Not many crowds here in the countryside compared to a bustling city! But I quickly warmed up to the audience, showing off my moves. One little girl with pigtails ran up to me and asked, "Are you a fairy?" And then I cried a little. A pink tutu fairy. What more could a drag queen ask for?
Now, let's get into my outfit! This was my first time trying out a pink tutu that twirls. Seriously, darling, it's a game-changer! A *true Pink Tutu Sparkles creation!

Of course, it wouldn't be me without a sparkly, sequin-covered belt and some platform heels. It wouldn't be right without them, would it darling? And as always, I added my favourite statement piece: a sparkling pink heart around my neck, as a gentle reminder that love is the key!
