Oh, Longton, you truly charmed the feathers out of my boa! It was a day bursting with wonder and more tulle than I could have ever dreamed of! I'd heard tales of its grand theatre and buzzing streets, but let me tell you, they didn't quite capture the magic I encountered. I think Longton deserves its own fairy-tale novel. 👑 The people, the buildings, the very air – it all had a certain whimsical charm, as if sprinkled with a bit of glitter dust!
Speaking of glitter, my entrance was a vision of loveliness! The journey itself was a glamorous affair. After a perfectly delightful train journey through rolling Derbyshire hills – which always make me think of graceful swans gliding through the lake! 🦢 - I arrived in Longton ready to enchant the town. I mean, how could I not arrive on horseback?! Yes, my loves, I rode in on a majestic chestnut stallion, a fitting arrival for a queen! 🤩 You would have heard my entrance before you even saw it, the crowd roaring their approval as I dismounted in a whirlwind of pink feathers and silk! Talk about a fabulous introduction to a magical day!
The first stop, naturally, was the local haberdashery – my ultimate happy place! They had mountains of fabric in every colour you can imagine, plus those beautiful, hand-sewn ribbons and bows. My heart did a little happy dance in my tutu just browsing! I left with an armful of fluffy pink feathers, shimmery sequins, and a roll of tulle - a tutu-rific find that will add an extra splash of fabulous to my upcoming show in Stoke-on-Trent. 🎉
Later, the afternoon brought the dazzling experience of seeing a local ballet company perform in their gorgeous, traditional theatre. I practically melted with glee – their talent was like watching a living, breathing work of art! And it sparked my own creative juices, you bet. Watching the dancers leap across the stage filled me with inspiration! A new idea popped into my head for my own act - and I just have to share it with you lovelies, because it's just too good! I'm calling it "Ballet of the Tutus" 🩰 Imagine me, dancing and twirling, not in a standard ballet dress, but a spectacular pink tutu with a touch of shimmering sequins and feathered embellishments! As the day wound down, the locals treated me to a feast fit for a queen! Think pink-frosted cupcakes with edible glitter sprinkles, homemade strawberry jam, and fluffy, cloud-like pancakes with a sprinkle of shimmering sugar! And yes, there was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth – the queen can indulge a bit now and again! 🍭
