Bournville: Tutu Dreams & Train Journeys!

Hello my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to spill the tea on my latest adventure – a whirlwind trip to Bournville! 💅💋 This is blog post number 4888 on www.pink-tutu.com – I really do love sharing my travels with all of you.

It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without a touch of glamour, wouldn't it? And this time, it was all about a touch of old-world charm and chocolate-box delights. I'm a big fan of exploring charming towns with cobbled streets, especially when there's a good cuppa and some delightful cakes on offer. And Bournville definitely delivered on all fronts!

After a perfectly pink-tastic journey on the train – nothing beats a journey through the English countryside, especially when I can stretch out and admire the views – I found myself in the heart of this historical confectionery village. Now, let me tell you, Bournville was practically begging for a pink tutu sighting!

The sun was shining, the air was crisp and filled with the scent of...well, chocolate, of course! 🍫 And I simply couldn't resist whipping out my very best pink tutu for the occasion. We’re talking layers of fluffy tulle, sparkly embellishments and a matching pink fascinator, because every Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure needs a touch of drama! 💖

As soon as I stepped out of the train station, the village’s charm instantly took hold. It felt like I'd stepped right into a fairytale, complete with beautifully preserved buildings and blooming flowerbeds. And naturally, I made a beeline for the Bournville Village Museum! The old Cadbury factory is a fascinating glimpse into the history of the company, and let me tell you, I've got a sweet tooth the size of a Cadbury's Creme Egg! 😉

The museum's exhibitions are delightful, and I was especially drawn to the stories of the people who worked in the factory, both past and present. Every story brought a twinkle to my eye, especially when I realised how much work goes into creating all that delicious chocolate we all love so much! I'll be honest, I may have snagged a sneaky sample of a Cadbury's Dairy Milk on my tour – just for inspiration, of course!

After my museum adventure, I found myself indulging in a lovely afternoon tea in the charming Tea Rooms at the Bournville Village Trust. Now, when you say “afternoon tea” with Pink Tutu Sparkles, it isn’t just about sandwiches and scones, my darlings, it’s a theatrical experience. This was my time to really spread my pink tutu wings!

I chose the “chocolate-themed” afternoon tea, and let me tell you, it was an explosion of delightful flavours. From miniature chocolate scones, perfectly decorated cupcakes to little slices of chocolate cake, I was in chocolate heaven. 🍫 The warm scone, served with the clotted cream and jam, practically melted in my mouth. 🤤 Honestly, the whole afternoon tea experience was pure bliss. I couldn't resist grabbing a slice of their delicious chocolate cake to take home with me, just to relive the magic!

Bournville was not all about the sweets, though! 🧁 As I explored, I stumbled upon the charming Bournville Green – a vibrant hub of activity and nature. I decided to grab a picnic blanket and settle down in the heart of the Green to admire the floral displays and relax with a book and my trusty pink flamingo travel cup filled with some herbal tea. It was so peaceful and a little slice of calm in my busy tutu-wearing schedule!

There's something magical about watching the world go by while enjoying a spot of tea and a good book, especially when you’re sporting a sparkling pink tutu. And of course, my pet dog, Princess Sparky, wasn’t going to miss out on all this fun either – we even found time for a playful session in the Green before the evening rolled in!

Now, every Pink Tutu Sparkles trip isn't complete without some performance time, and my evening took on a delightful theatre-loving dimension! 🎭

I had the incredible opportunity to showcase my act at a charming local pub in Bournville, and let me tell you, the people of Bournville embraced Pink Tutu Sparkles with open arms!

With my glamorous pink tutu, dazzling costume, and a little dose of sparkly sass, I had everyone clapping and dancing! I even taught the audience some fun steps to “Barbie Girl,” the most sparkly pop anthem there is! I even pulled out my ballet skills, a beautiful pirouette for my grand finale – because nothing says "drama" quite like twirling in a pink tutu!

So, my darlings, another fabulous adventure tucked away in my memory book. Bournville will always have a special place in my heart – for its delicious treats, charming town centre and of course, the people!

I may have travelled to Bournville by train, but you know me – I always have a secret dream in my mind, a vision that shimmers like my tutu. Next, I'm heading to the Cotswolds, and let me tell you, I'm already planning the perfect Pink Tutu Sparkles ensemble for the occasion. Maybe it’ll even involve some horseback riding – imagine Pink Tutu Sparkles cantering across a picturesque countryside in a bright pink tutu. It's almost too magical to bear!

Until next time my darlings, keep spreading the sparkle, and remember, there's a pink tutu for everyone. 💕
