Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back again with another exciting travel blog! Today I'm writing from the gorgeous city of Bath, a place that has stolen my heart! This blog post is brought to you by my sparkly, pink tutu (and my trusty steed - I shall explain!), but it’s also brought to you by a city that feels like a fairy tale come true.
Before I gush any further about this city of ancient Romans, charming Georgian streets, and enchanting history, let me tell you about my journey here. My travels are a constant dance between adventure and elegance. This time, my chosen mode of transport was – drumroll, please – horseback!
Yes, you heard me right, darlings. It turns out there are still charming inns that offer horse riding in this modern world! I even found a stunningly pink stable (of course!) This wasn't just about getting to Bath, but about the joy of a slow and luxurious journey. The gentle breeze, the clip-clop of hooves, the panoramic views – all made me feel like I was starring in my own whimsical film!
Speaking of whimsical, Bath itself is a dream! This town literally oozes beauty and sophistication. The majestic Royal Crescent, a curve of honey-coloured townhouses, just has to be seen to be believed. It's a masterpiece of architecture and the embodiment of a graceful era gone by.
I'm not one to simply admire things, though, so of course, I had to experience Bath's culture, too! I went to the Theatre Royal Bath and had the absolute pleasure of seeing The Importance of Being Earnest. Oh, the witty repartee, the delicate costumes, the enchanting performances - it felt like stepping right into a period play. The sheer grandeur of the theatre added another layer of charm to the whole experience.
After the play, I treated myself to a little tête-à-tête with the city itself. I walked through the Pulteney Bridge, the only bridge in the UK with shops built along it, and enjoyed the serene waters of the Avon River. It was as if the river was whispering secrets to me, inviting me to lose myself in its gentle current.
And naturally, no trip to Bath is complete without a visit to the Thermae Bath Spa. The water there is mineral-rich and is said to have healing properties, so of course, I indulged in a luxurious dip and emerged feeling like a brand new (and very sparkly) person. It was the perfect way to relax after a whirlwind of discovery!
One thing you might notice in my blog is that I love the colour pink. Oh, pink, it's my true obsession! But it's not just about the colour – it's about the feelings it evokes. Pink represents femininity, kindness, and a sense of fun and playfulness. I love finding little touches of pink everywhere I go!
Just look at the little details – in the delicate flowers blooming in window boxes, the vibrant candy shop windows bursting with colourful treats, or the charming pastel-hued storefronts on Milsom Street. There's a gentle charm to Bath, almost as though the city itself wears a lovely, pink tutu. It makes you feel light, carefree, and absolutely fabulous!
Of course, I can't forget my pink tutu – how else could I strut through these grand streets? I paired my favourite blush pink tutu with a vintage, cream-coloured blouse and a silver-studded belt to add some edgy flair. Let's just say I turned a few heads in Bath's charming alleyways!
Being in Bath, surrounded by such breathtaking beauty, makes me even more determined to share my pink tutu message! Whether it’s a fancy-dress event, a summer festival, or a fun dance party, I want everyone to try on a pink tutu and embrace the fun!
