Now, I don't know about you but, this trip is all about glamour and sparkles - we're talking coastal charm, sea air, and an afternoon show filled with the magic of Pink Tutu! 💖 You’ve seen the photos on Instagram (go give it a follow @PinkTutuSparkles if you haven't already!) – think ocean views, fluffy pink tutus, and oh, those majestic horse-drawn carriages. Sigh. What more could a girl ask for?
You see, my dears, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, and in my case, that's chasing rainbows (and pink tutus) across the land. Now, I don't know about you but, my heart just flutters for the coast, those sweeping seaside promenades and the promise of a delicious ice cream or a spot of fish and chips. Paignton’s calling my name, and I’m ready to answer, pink tutu in hand!
For those of you new to Pink Tutu’s world, my love for pink tutus began back in my uni days, when I was studying… well, let's just say something serious. 🤫 (Don't worry, you can guess!) But in between the lectures and the late-night lab work, I found my calling in the university ballet club. Picture it: a big group of people in a hall, with some rather, erm… spirited attempts at elegant moves. We were all a bit of a mess, to be honest, but it was there I saw a glimmer of a pink opportunity.
You know how they say there are so many interesting characters at university? Well, one day we had this charity event where everyone was supposed to dress up – for a laugh! But you know me, I see pink tutu, I do it! I ended up dancing in it, with sequins, and pink boas galore. Oh, my darlings! My future was set that day, as I embraced my inner pink tutu-clad fairy!
Since those days I’ve gone on to take on the world one pink tutu at a time. 🌎 From city centre bars and clubs to village halls and charming country fairs – I’ve spread the gospel of pink tutu. Honestly, it’s a labour of love, performing for anyone and everyone who wants to be dazzled by some pink tutu sparkle!
I’ve told you a bit about where I’m heading, so now I need to give you some insight into how I get there! 🚂 Of course, my trusty pal, the train, plays a crucial part in all this, travelling up and down the country spreading pink tutu cheer. There's something special about that rhythmic chug of the wheels, and a good old British cuppa by the window while you soak in the scenery. I might even strike up a conversation with fellow travellers – always on the lookout for potential pink tutu enthusiasts! (They’re out there, my lovelies, they just need a little sparkle to find them!)
Oh! And, of course, how can we talk about Pink Tutu and travelling without mentioning horses? There’s just something truly magical about that combination. I do love a good, leisurely ride, a spot of country air, and the chance to chat with a knowledgeable stablehand about the horse’s life – there’s a beauty to that kind of life that I try to embrace! (Maybe I'll try my pink tutu on the back of one for a special performance? I’m thinking, ballet street and tutus and horse – let me know what you think! 💖)
Anyway, back to Paignton. I’m going to be performing on a stage that's right by the sea – isn’t that absolutely delightful? 🌊 It's a full show, darling, with music and dancing and costumes galore. I even whipped up a new number for this one. It’s got some surprises for you. Think graceful pirouettes, flamboyant footwork, and enough glitter to blind a sparrow!
My wardrobe’s ready to go – let's be honest, I’ve probably got about five times too many pink tutus – I know, how could I choose just one?! A little red for a splash of colour, some fabulous diamante detail… it'll be pure sparkle, but as always, I will have plenty of pink! The make-up, oh, my darlings, the make-up! It’s going to be sensational, I can already feel it! All that glittery gold and silver and all those perfectly-placed, blush-tinted lashes. It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles time and you know this is going to be good!
I even picked up a few little surprises for those lucky people attending the show. Some shimmering pink tutu badges, a few hand-painted tote bags with pink tutu images and a hand-crafted pink tutu pendant… so keep an eye out because if you spot me on the prom you might just walk away with a little pink tutu magic of your own!
You see, darlings, that's the essence of Pink Tutu Sparkles. It's about spreading joy and kindness. I love performing, I love connecting with people, I love bringing a little extra sparkle to their day. Because at the end of it all, my dream is simple - to encourage everyone to find their inner pink tutu and embrace their own unique sparkle. And with a bit of love and a whole lot of glitz and glam, I'm determined to see the world embrace a bit of pink tutu magic! 💖
