As always, you lovely lot know I can't resist a good journey. This time, it was a glorious train ride to Loughborough, which if you've not had the pleasure of visiting, I must recommend! It’s just brimming with charm and good vibes. I must say, a train journey with a steaming mug of hot chocolate in hand, and a copy of Vogue to flick through is absolutely my cuppa tea!
This time, Loughborough beckoned with a particularly fabulous event: a performance for the opening night of the “Loughborough Live” festival. Imagine a big top full of shimmering lights, vibrant music, and even more vibrant pink tutus! Now that's a good time, don't you think?
I'll tell you a secret, I adore putting on a show. It’s like magic. With each outfit change, the lights dim, and a burst of music plays – boom, I become Pink Tutu Sparkles. It’s absolutely fantastic to bring a little glitter and joy to everyone.
But even before the grand spectacle, Loughborough offered me some beautiful moments. Wandering the market, with its vibrant colours and delightful aromas – that’s the kind of sensory experience that leaves me wanting to just skip and dance! I even indulged in the most amazing pink macaron. Don’t worry, I’ve got photos of it on the ‘gram. Make sure you go follow @PinkTutuSparkles if you haven't already!
The next morning, I felt a pang of excitement mixed with a little sadness. Yes, even your Queen gets a little homesick. But don't fret! Loughborough won’t be forgotten. It's been a whirlwind of experiences, a perfect blend of artistic inspiration and colourful, friendly people. I mean, it is Loughborough we’re talking about! I have this incredible picture in my mind of a field full of pink tutus...maybe I should consider organising a flash mob... Just a little something for my next trip to this wonderful town.
This leads me to a point I often mention on this blog. It’s not about how many tutus we own, but how many people we encourage to wear them. It’s about spreading the joy and positive vibes that only a good old pink tutu can offer. Whether you're at the theatre, the ballet class, or just going to the local shops, remember, confidence comes from within – and that feeling is absolutely irresistible in a good pink tutu!
Of course, I know some of you are thinking “Tutus, Pink, a little much isn't it, Pink Tutu Sparkles?” Well, to that I say, nonsense! Who needs to fit in when you can shine from within? A tutu is simply a canvas, it's an invitation for creativity!
Oh darling, before I go – a little secret to keep your chin up! This is me, Pink Tutu Sparkles, who you might not know, also goes by the name of Alex by day, working at a very respectable scientific lab! Oh, I love the little giggle you make when I mention that. Think of it this way, who would’ve thought a lab scientist would become a tutu-wearing diva?
You know what they say? If life throws you lemons, find a tutu and create some lemonade! But for me, it’s the other way around – find a tutu, wear it with confidence, and life will naturally hand you those lemonade opportunities. You can trust me on that, because I wouldn’t lie about a tutu – not for the world.
