Hello Darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite pink-tutu-loving drag queen blogger, and guess what? I'm finally back on the blog with post number 5046 – that’s a lot of sparkle! I've just been in the magical city of Hampstead, where I felt like I was living out a whimsical fairytale – complete with tutu, of course!
This week, Hampstead’s vibrant atmosphere captivated my little pink-loving heart. Imagine this: cobbled streets, charming little shops overflowing with pink delights, and that unique scent of freshly-baked cakes – I literally went crazy for it! And guess what? My trusty steed was none other than a sleek, pink, vintage train carriage – a real life beauty, like something straight out of a Wes Anderson film!
I mean, is it even a trip if you haven't popped by a vintage tea shop, sipping tea with your best mate, whilst enjoying a massive pink macaron and watching the world go by in a whirl of pink tulle? This trip definitely called for a full pink outfit, darlings! I opted for a dreamy pastel pink tulle tutu, paired with a silk crop top and my signature glitter-bomb platform heels - and boy, did I sparkle!
This trip was extra special as I got to take in a dazzling ballet performance at the [INSERT LOCAL THEATRE NAME] theatre in Hampstead. My darlings, the performance was an absolute spectacle! Ballet, with all those intricate movements, always gets my creativity flowing. It reminds me how amazing and beautiful movement can be – I often incorporate little ballet flourishes in my performances. Did you know I actually learned ballet when I was at university? I wasn’t a science student because of my love of test tubes - no, it was the University’s ballet club. You know how much I love pink tutus, right? Well, that was where I tried one on for a university charity fundraiser and I was instantly smitten!
Let’s get a little personal – I was originally from Derbyshire, the beautiful green county of hills and quaint villages, but don’t tell anyone! My world is all about sparkly, whimsical, pink-filled joy – like my day job at a textile lab, by the way, where I actually get paid to play around with sparkly fabrics and the like! The lab life definitely brings my sparkle on – how glamorous are lab coats when they’re pink and covered in glitter, huh? It makes me think about colour combos for my next show.
Now, I’ll let you in on a little secret – my dream for life? Getting everyone to wear a pink tutu! Imagine a world full of sparkle, twirling, and utter joy! This would be a place where all the woes and troubles fade away with every swish of a tulle.
