Hello my gorgeous tutu-loving darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to dazzle you with a new blog post! As you all know, I adore exploring new corners of the world, especially when they're within reach of a glittery train journey (or maybe even a dashing horseback ride!) and Worksop certainly delivered.
This delightful little town in Nottinghamshire is practically dripping in history, from the beautiful Clumber Park to the intriguing Dukeries. The streets are lined with lovely independent shops (a pink tutu-wearing queen's paradise, of course!) and the energy here is truly magical. But what was the highlight? Well, you can probably guess - the fabulous performances!
Oh, darlings, I truly do believe that performing in Worksop was the highlight of my week. The audience was simply wonderful! There were so many enthusiastic faces in the crowd, so much excitement and cheering. It was just a joyous explosion of joy and pink tulle, just how I like it!
Let's chat a little about this fabulous Worksop outfit!
First of all, I knew this trip called for something special. Something that would embody the historic charm and captivating energy of this little town, so naturally, I had to create something bespoke, a little bit retro-inspired with a dash of modern whimsy. Think vintage-inspired silk fabrics (yes, they were even sparkly!), a blush-coloured crinoline under a layer of vibrant pink tulle. It truly embodied everything I love about Worksop! And to make things a little bit more Worksop I topped it off with a beautiful headband in a fetching shade of rose gold.
Oh! And darling, the makeup. It was everything a fabulous Worksop performance needs. I used blushy pink eyeshadow with a touch of shimmering silver to create that oomph of a 1920s flapper - it really highlighted the sparkling fabric of my dress. Plus, the bold lips in ruby red complemented the entire look - so chic, darling!
*But a true diva never travels alone, does she? *
Now, my dear assistant, Trixie, you all know her! Always ready to ensure my outfits are picture-perfect. You'll often find her tucked inside my bag - a truly talented companion! Of course, no trip would be complete without my beloved hairpieces, all adorned with delicate bows and pink flowers, because, darlings, let's be honest, a queen can never have too many.
A Day Out: A Look Around Worksop!
Oh, but darlings, the fun doesn't stop there! After the glorious performance, I absolutely had to take some time to explore the enchanting town itself! My favorite find? The charming little antique shop nestled on a quiet street. I managed to unearth a fantastic little vintage brooch in pink enamel – I had to have it!
And, of course, no trip to Worksop would be complete without a delicious visit to their fantastic market. They had all sorts of gorgeous fresh produce, vibrant flowers and homemade crafts, absolutely a delight for a glamorous queen! I even found myself a lovely pair of delicate pink satin gloves, which were perfectly matched to the outfit.
Back to Reality, Back to Derbyshire
Now, after my adventures in Worksop, it was time to head back home. My trusty steed, well, the train, was waiting for me to whisk me back to the comfort of my own abode, where I can put my feet up and relive the magical memories of my time in this incredible town. I can't wait for my next trip to Worksop!
