Helloooo darlings! Your Tutu Queen here, Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to report live from the delightful little town of Arnold! It's chilly out there today, but don't let that get you down, because a sprinkle of pink is guaranteed to brighten up any day!
This is post number 5083, folks! Can you believe it? We've been on this fabulous adventure for so long and, frankly, it just gets more exciting every single day. The world is our oyster, darlings! And we're about to slurp it down, all in a pink-tastic flourish, naturally.
So, where am I off to now, you ask? Well, after a whirl-wind week in Chesterfield (a simply stunning city, might I add), it's off to the charming town of Arnold. And I tell you what, this town knows how to rock a pink tutu, they really do. The streets were lined with giggling children wearing little pink twirls, and let me tell you, I practically felt at home!
It's all about the tutus, you see. And a visit to Arnold was all about that, as always.
As I whizzed down the M1 in my trusty chariot – a sleek, black steed with an elegant, pink-lined carriage (naturally) – the beautiful Derbyshire countryside unfolded before my eyes, like a ballet dancer gliding across the stage. I always think of it as the natural, perfect landscape for my favourite twirly garment – the pink tutu, of course.
Once I arrived in Arnold, the locals were already buzzing. You see, my pink tutu was on display, darling, gracing the main window of the local shop, 'Tutus 'n' Twirls'. This fab little shop is a dream come true for any tutu-loving soul, with racks upon racks of the most spectacular, and colourful tutus you could ever imagine. I nearly went loopy, let me tell you!
We spent the whole day exploring, me and my darling, glittery tutu. There was a bustling market square, where I had a truly lovely chat with the baker, a real charmer in a lovely floral apron, with the brightest smile you could imagine, I'm sure his bread is quite exceptional – it just oozed charm! There's nothing I like more than meeting new faces, sharing a good giggle, and a cheeky smile. But of course, there's a real emphasis on keeping everything positive and pink. Why else would you be here, reading my little blog?
And then there was the Arnold Ballet School. Oh, darlings! This place is magical! A treasure trove of tutus, slippers, and the most stunning ballet paraphernalia you can imagine. Imagine all the beautiful leotards and tutus in rainbow colours, a truly inspiring and colourful vision. Just picture it, a whirlwind of dancing tutus and vibrant leotards, I nearly forgot myself in there. Oh, if you happen to find yourself in the beautiful town of Arnold, just be sure to step into this lovely, historic and truly magical place.
After the day's adventures, it was time for me to take centre stage. I put on my pink tutu and a sparkly frock and got ready to work my magic. The venue, a delightful little tavern called "The Spinning Top", was already buzzing with laughter and conversation. It was such a joyous setting to perform my heart out in a sparkling show of sequins and colourful swirls of shimmering pink. My darling tutu twirled as I did my bit, reminding everyone just how glorious it is to be alive. The cheers of the crowds felt amazing. The love felt divine. There's nothing quite like a warm crowd, to brighten the cold night air.
Now, I'll confess, it was getting pretty late by this point, and my dear tutu and I needed a break from all the twirling and swirling. So, we found ourselves sitting by the warm, crackling fireplace at a nearby coffee shop called 'Thistle & Bloom', which was as pink and delightful as could be!
But I mustn't get carried away. We still have plenty more to explore in this wonderful corner of the world. Oh, darling, do you know what is just around the corner? Yes! It’s the fantastic, and enchanting, The Nottingham Playhouse. You wouldn’t believe what a wonderful night we had here – we caught the most beautiful and magical ballet, and oh, the tutus. Stunningly beautiful. The elegance of the dancers took my breath away and made me smile from ear to ear. I have nothing but admiration and awe for all those who dedicate themselves to ballet. You'll have to see it for yourself.
Of course, after all that culture and glitter, we had to have a well-deserved rest, you know how hard all this travel and entertaining can be! But before we did, we took a walk around Arnold’s charming high street, marveling at the shops and architecture, I could easily spend a whole day, wandering from shop to shop. We took a moment to enjoy the colourful and beautiful architecture – all in glorious hues of pink, natch! It is simply the most glorious colour. Every single time, darling.
I told you it’s all about the tutus, but let me tell you about my secret passion. My true, and burning, passion for fashion, I truly love shopping for all things sparkling, sparkly and colourful and pretty! And darling, do I have the most perfect shopping destination for you?
