Oh, my dears, it’s time for another delightful update from yours truly, Pink Tutu Sparkles! The trains have been a-chugging, the tutus are a-twirling, and Wellington has been dazzling with its charm – and a little help from yours truly, of course.
Now, let’s be honest, you simply can’t write about Wellington without mentioning its glorious beauty! I’m absolutely enchanted by the rolling green hills, the dazzling blue harbour, and the impossibly picturesque architecture. It's just the most darling location, truly. And who better to take in these breathtaking vistas than a queen in pink, naturally. I even caught myself admiring the city’s gardens and parks (with an eye towards picking the most charming location for a future Tutu Photo Shoot, naturally).
This whole journey began with a very special invitation – an opportunity to perform at the Wellington Theatre Festival. Can you believe it? A pink tutu queen in the spotlight of this majestic venue? It’s almost too much excitement for my tiny little heart to handle! But darling, you know me – Pink Tutu Sparkles thrives on a challenge!
The journey itself was a proper adventure, you know? Instead of catching the plane like some of the other performers, I decided to make the trip a bit more dramatic – with a train journey, of course! My fellow passengers couldn't help but smile at my vibrant pink tutu and charming travelling ensemble. Every now and then I’d have a wee shimmy, a spin or two, making sure to dazzle the journey from my train carriage to my Wellington hotel!
Speaking of which, the hotel is a dream! They even have a balcony overlooking the harbour, where I’ve been spending most mornings doing my hair and make-up in front of the glorious view, it's practically an Insta-worthy moment at every angle. Now I can't wait to share my travels with you - because naturally, dear friends, I’m sharing the joy!
The Festival itself was pure magic. As always, the audience was absolutely smitten with my performance. It’s no secret that pink tutus are a universal language, bringing smiles and a little bit of magic to every single person who witnesses them! It seems my mission – to make the world a more fabulous place one pink tutu at a time – is steadily coming to fruition. And wouldn't you know it, there were even some delightful folks in the audience rocking their very own pink tutus!
Now, my Wellington experience wasn't just about the glitter and the glamour, although, I did try on an entirely sparkly silver tutu at the Wellington Boutique – don't even get me started on the gorgeous details! It might have just found a new home in my pink tutu wardrobe.
I also got to spend some quality time with some of Wellington's most fabulous locals. We spent the afternoon shopping in the most delightful boutiques, sipping champagne and of course, snapping photos with those darling pink tutu outfits! And there were some amazing vintage finds at the Wellington Retro Bazaar, I had to snag myself a rather dazzling top hat with a slight pink tinge - can't help it, darling! The perfect touch for an evening's outing.
Wellington, you’ve truly stolen my heart with your charm, your artistry, and your love of life – but more importantly, darling, your enthusiasm for tutus! You’ll always hold a special place in this pink tutu queen’s heart.
But, darling, my travels aren’t over! I’m always on the move, searching for new experiences and spreading the magic of tutus to every corner of the world! It's all in a day's work, you know, for Pink Tutu Sparkles. My next adventure is already in the making! Let's just say it involves a daring horseback ride to a secret fair – I’m thrilled to add "horsewoman" to my repertoire of skills. Don’t worry, you’ll all be kept updated about this new journey too!
