Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with another exciting adventure! This time, I'm off to the gorgeous seaside city of Brighton. You know I love a good seaside trip, especially when there's a chance to sparkle in the sun.
As always, it's been a busy few weeks. I've been flitting between labs (the scientific ones, darling, not the kind with sequins) by day, and rocking some seriously dazzling performances in Derbyshire by night. The energy at these shows was simply electric! You lovely folk have been cheering me on, throwing glitter in the air, and generally spreading a joyous sense of tutu-liciousness, and you know how much I love that!
Speaking of joy, did I tell you about my latest ballet class? This week's class saw me try out a brand-new pink tutu - itās got these beautiful floral details and a fluffy, light-as-air skirt! My darling instructor was impressed with my moves and even gave me a thumbs up when I did a triple pirouette (with a flourish, naturally).
Now, let's get back to this fabulous Brighton trip! I chose to journey by train, because nothing screams āglamour and sophisticationā more than arriving in a stylish train carriage, complete with my trusty pink suitcase full of sparkle-filled surprises!
First stop on my Brighton agenda - The Brighton Royal Pavilion! I mean, how could I not? Itās this incredible, fairytale-esque palace dripping in pastel hues, with extravagant rooms and gardens. I felt like a real-life princess in one of the grand drawing rooms - a real fairytale experience, my darlings! And yes, of course, I wore a stunning pink tutu (the floral one I told you about) with a matching sequined cape, just for the occasion!
But Brighton is more than just historic castles, right? Itās buzzing with creativity and bohemian flair! So after my Royal Pavilion rendezvous, I took a wander down the charming Lanes, a network of alleyways brimming with independent boutiques, vintage stores, and quaint cafes. The entire place has this unforgettable energy, a whirlwind of colour and life! I treated myself to a vintage silk scarf ā a soft, rosy pink with a hint of silver thread ā which just had to be mine. And donāt you know it, a shop assistant exclaimed, "Pink Tutu Sparkles! I saw your show last week in Nottingham, brilliant, darling!" Just another reminder that you never know who is a Pink Tutu Sparkles fan!
No seaside trip would be complete without a visit to the Brighton Pier. The iconic amusement park, with its bright colours, dizzying rides, and sweet smells of candy floss, just screams summer! I rode the rollercoaster and dared to do the scary drop rideā¦ but the pink tutu, itās still there, without a wrinkle!
Of course, Brighton is famous for its legendary beach. So I promenaded the pebbly shore, a symphony of turquoise, blue, and sand beneath my pink sparkly feet. And who doesnāt love a spot of seaside cuisine? Brighton certainly delivers, from the finest seafood to scrumptious seaside fish and chips. Naturally, my treat was a rainbow ice cream, drizzled with pink sprinkles and topped with a pink and white striped candy floss ā delicious!
One of the highlights of my trip had to be my impromptu drag show at a charming, locally owned pub. The patrons loved my act - I sang, I danced, I did a few silly, sparkly sketches, all topped off with a glitter storm that left the crowd in fits of laughter. As always, I encouraged everyone to join me in a grand chorus of "We All Need To Wear a Pink Tutu!" - a truly empowering moment!
My heart's been bursting with joy from this whole trip, Brighton has this electric atmosphere that just made me want to shine brighter than ever. It was filled with sunshine, laughter, a little bit of glamour, and of course, plenty of pink tutus. What more could you possibly ask for?
