South Shields Sparkle! ✨ 🩰

Hello darlings, it’s your favourite tutu-wearing travel queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, bringing you blog post number 5244 from the sunshine-drenched seaside town of South Shields! 💖

This weekend was a whirlwind of sequins, smiles, and yes, even a little bit of sea air (although I confess I only went close enough for a picture!) It all started with the long train journey north, a fabulous way to travel and a great opportunity to catch up on my latest magazine – Fashionista Magazine’s new edition with the tutu-themed fashion shoot was SO inspirational!

The train journey itself was an adventure, I wore my hot pink feather boa (yes, it gets chilly even in May, you know!) and managed to chat with a lovely lady about her grandson who, she told me, is absolutely obsessed with pink tutus - well, you can imagine how thrilled I was about that! He even made a special one himself for the school’s end of year show - how absolutely fab is that?! I had to tell her about my campaign – #PinkTutusForEveryone – you never know, maybe that chat will bring another young soul into the tutu fold. ✨

When I arrived in South Shields, the seaside air had a definite hint of sparkle about it, like the glint of sunshine on a tiara! The venue I was performing at was the most adorable, old-fashioned theatre, you know the sort with the red velvet seats and ornate plasterwork ceilings. It’s like stepping into a glamorous time capsule, except with WiFi and the latest lighting rig. 💖

Before the show, I had the most delightful afternoon exploring South Shields. I must say the market was full of lovely shops with just the kind of colourful clothes and accessories I adore! It’s almost a crime to wear pink in a town this cheerful, but then, who said crime wasn't glamorous? I found the perfect vintage-style pink feather boa, and a tiny fluffy tutu to adorn my handbag! 👛

Of course, a seaside town wouldn't be complete without a proper fish and chips dinner. Now, this wasn't just any fish and chips – oh no! They came with mushy peas in a little ramekin and the most divine curry sauce. It was the kind of food you just can’t resist, even though I’m on my ‘healthy-ish’ lifestyle (though I think those peas could have been a whole meal in themselves!). 😋

The performance was a smash hit, the crowd was phenomenal, full of energy, clapping along to every number and roaring with laughter during my cheeky patter. One little girl came up to me after and told me that my outfit was "super awesome," I swear she was almost blushing as she said it - she’d clearly had a little tutu of her own at home, judging by that delighted look in her eyes. 💖

Later that evening, we headed back to the train station and as the train pulled out of South Shields, I knew it was the kind of day I’ll be reminiscing about for years to come. It was a mix of girly glitz and seaside fun that just couldn’t be beat. 💖

There's something truly magical about bringing a little pink sparkle to any place, it doesn’t matter if it's a seaside town or the fanciest theatre in London. I honestly believe that if we all wore a pink tutu at least once a day, the world would be a brighter, more fabulous place! 🥰

So, darling, what are you waiting for? Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming adventures – next up, I'm heading to Edinburgh, a place known for its vibrant artistic scene and stunning architecture, a perfect combination for Pink Tutu Sparkles. Keep those tutu dreams alive! 💖

*Stay Fabulous, Pink Tutu Sparkles *
