Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, fresh from a whirlwind trip to the gorgeous Walton upon Thames, and ready to spill all the glitter!
As you know, my dearest Tutu Tribe, I'm all about embracing life in pink, especially when it comes to sparkly tutus. This little gem of a town is no exception - it has that quintessential English charm that makes you want to grab a scone and ooh and ah at all the pretty little houses.
But my main reason for gracing Walton upon Thames with my presence wasn’t tea and scones, darling. Oh no. It was a chance to show them a dazzling performance of Pink Tutu Sparkles.
You see, this little Pink Tutu Sparkle, was, (believe it or not) a rather serious science student back in my Derbyshire days. Imagine, lab coats and microscopes. I used to spend hours staring down at my experiments, making sure my fabric samples met all the quality standards for durability. The kind of job where you wear plain clothes every day... I nearly became a real scientist! But then fate (or a well-placed tutu at the University's ballet club charity event) intervened, and here we are!
A quick trip back in time to tell you my little tutu tale: My uni days were a blast. I was a ballet fanatic, joining the club on day one! At a fundraising gala for our student support programme, I had a moment of courage, dared to try on one of the girls' sparkly tutus and suddenly my world was pink! I had to learn to dance in that incredible fluffy, shimmering gown, even though the choreography had been written for the less 'voluminous'. Needless to say I got a standing ovation and fell in love with wearing pink tutus.
The rest, as they say, is history! After graduation, I couldn't resist my inner Pink Tutu Sparkles. So, I got to work perfecting my routine, and that’s how "Pink Tutu Sparkles" came to be! By day, I'm still a scientist testing fabrics... you know, just in case someday I need to design my own fabulous pink tutus! By night, it's time for the real magic: a splash of glitter, a shimmer of sequins, and the magnificent Pink Tutu Sparkles shines!
Speaking of glitter and sparkle, the venue in Walton upon Thames was amazing! They let me design my stage and decorate it in true Pink Tutu Sparkles style: pastel pink lights, iridescent curtains, and, of course, a whole rainbow of tutus hanging around the space. It was quite a sight! I felt like I was dancing in my very own pink fairy tale world!
You'll never guess who I bumped into! One of the sweetest ladies I know, Mabel, from the Ballet Guild. Mabel and I always catch up at these performances - she even buys a tutu whenever she sees me! She's such a doll and always says that my performance inspires her to embrace her inner Pink Tutu Sparkle, and that is simply the BEST compliment I can get.
After my dazzling performance, I had the pleasure of catching up with the lovely folks at the local ballet school. I took a quick peek at their dance practice and must say those young ballerinas had some serious talent. The choreography was graceful and elegant, and their costumes were stunning. They seemed to love my pink tutu. The little girls came up and gave me adorable hug. They’re the future of ballet in England!
My dear Tutu Tribe, you know my mantra, "Let's make the world a more colourful place, one tutu at a time." And, Walton upon Thames, you have officially embraced the tutu. Every single audience member waved their own Pink Tutu Sparkles fan, which was just magical! They cheered so loud for me that they could be heard from across the county! The atmosphere was electric - a mix of excitement, wonder, and, dare I say it, pure pink love!
This town is totally embracing the tutu life. That’s why it made the ultimate Pink Tutu Sparkles travel bucket list - my pink tutus look beautiful in front of the local architecture!
As you can see, my trip to Walton upon Thames was a real joyride of a tutu adventure. I left with my heart full of love and my suitcase overflowing with new friends. I love to travel. I'll admit, my dream way of travelling is by train - the scenery passing by is so picturesque. But recently I have to confess I took my first carriage ride, and let me tell you it's a whole new level of romantic! And that's my little confession of the day.
