Now, you know me – I love a good adventure, and this trip was no exception. Bangor was calling my name, and Pink Tutu Sparkles, ever the dutiful diva, packed her suitcase (full of tutus, naturally!) and answered the call. The journey itself was a highlight, of course! I boarded a luxurious, scarlet train (I mean, it was red, darling, it practically begged to be called scarlet) with a glass of fizz and my nose nestled in the latest Vogue. Oh, the glamour! It was the perfect start to my Bangor escapade.
Speaking of glamorous starts, Bangor didn't disappoint. From the moment my trusty chariot rolled into the station, the town practically sang with excitement. Now, it's no secret that I love spreading the pink tutu gospel far and wide. My mission is simple: make the world a more colourful and joyous place, one tutu at a time! And Bangor's vibrant atmosphere, brimming with history, culture, and friendly smiles, just begged for a sprinkle of Pink Tutu magic.
I decided to make my debut at the majestic Bangor Town Hall. Now, I'm not saying they expected me to waltz in like I owned the place... But I did! After all, "pink tutu queen" doesn't come easy, does it? 😉 The Town Hall was a symphony of elegance – I'm talking sweeping staircases, grand halls with beautiful stained glass, and enough charm to make a Victorian gentleman blush. I couldn't resist snapping a few photos – think, Pink Tutu Sparkles strutting her stuff against a backdrop of historical grandeur, pure #TutuQueen brilliance!
Bangor’s vibrant theatre scene has also been the source of much joy and inspiration. This trip, I caught a stunning ballet performance – the delicate choreography, the incredible grace and poise of the dancers… just pure ballet bliss! I confess, it reminded me why I love the beautiful world of ballet so much, why I was mesmerised by my first tutu all those years ago… back when I was just a shy, slightly awkward, science-obsessed student.
Speaking of tutus, the hunt for the perfect pink tutu in Bangor was practically an Olympic event! (Think of the athleticism involved, darling – navigating bustling high streets, haggling with friendly shopkeepers, carefully evaluating every sequin...) And I did not disappoint! I found the most divine tutu with layers upon layers of tulle, it was literally a cloud of pink. I may or may not have twirled a few times right there in the shop, just to make sure it felt absolutely fabulous. But I’m sure everyone understands that sometimes, the world requires a bit of Pink Tutu magic, especially when you’ve discovered the perfect tutu.
Now, you can't talk about Bangor without mentioning the picturesque views! And it was the perfect opportunity for my famous pink tutu selfies. Imagine, darling – a picture postcard setting of the dramatic Welsh coast, breathtaking vistas of Snowdonia’s mountain ranges, and the radiant sparkle of Pink Tutu Sparkles in a majestic, swirling, pink tutu... Oh, and let's not forget the delicious culinary delights! I indulged in the freshest fish and chips imaginable, the crisp batter, the flaky fish… truly divine. Not to mention the Welsh cakes – oh, the sugary, crumbly goodness. And to top it off, the warm hospitality of the locals left me feeling like I was part of the community, just one big happy, tutu-wearing family!
