I've had a bit of a whirlwind adventure to get here, let me tell you. First, a dash through the English countryside, aboard a charming steam train that smelled of coal and possibility! I couldn't resist a little impromptu photoshoot on the platform, rocking my latest pink feather boa and a magnificent, pale pink tulle tutu that almost swept the ground.
Imagine a pastel paradise, filled with the sound of "chuff chuff" and the laughter of children as they peeked in the window, enthralled by my majestic pink ensemble. It was truly a magical way to travel, as if the countryside itself was celebrating my pink-tutu journey.
And speaking of magical, did I tell you I actually caught a ride on a beautiful chestnut horse just before the train left Derbyshire? I swear, the mare must have recognised the power of pink. She seemed almost to nudge me gently towards the platform with her nose! It's not everyday a tutu-wearing drag queen gets a personal escort from a four-legged friend. It certainly made for a dazzling start to my trip.
Arriving in Wellington, the energy just crackled with excitement. This is a place brimming with sparkling art galleries, bustling theatres, and shops that whisper promises of fashion adventures! My heart soared as I spotted a fabulous vintage clothing store, just screaming to be explored.
And believe me, darling, I will be.
Of course, what is a trip to Wellington without an extravagant ballet show? This time, I'm treating myself to an entire weekend at the Royal Opera House. Not only am I attending the magnificent Swan Lake production, but I'm also hitting their ballet class! I might just try my hand at pirouettes, if they're allowing tutu-clad queens! Imagine, the graceful swirl of pink, against the backdrop of a classical performance. Just glorious, darlings, just glorious!
But enough about me! This city truly breathes its own brand of magic. Everywhere I look there’s a burst of creativity, with street artists, musicians, and actors filling every corner. This isn't just a city of tutus (although, I do believe it’s perfectly happy with those, too!). This is a city of dreamers and doers, pushing the boundaries of expression with bold colour and vibrant performances. I can feel my own artistic soul beginning to hum with inspiration.
Speaking of which, my Wellington stage show is already in the planning stages! It's going to be bigger, brighter, and definitely pinker than ever before. And, you guessed it, I'll be rocking some tutus, because that's just what I do, darlings. My stage persona? A captivating kaleidoscope of pink fluff and fabulousness, of course!
I already know that my show is going to be absolutely fabulous, and I can't wait to bring my pink-tutu energy to this beautiful city!
