Manchester Calling! Pink Tutu Sparkles is ready to shine!

Hello my darling darlings! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet, Pink-Tutu.com, for another adventure in tutus and sparkles. This is post number 5425, so buckle up and prepare for a pink explosion, because today, I’m heading to Manchester!

You see, Manchester is a city I’ve always been drawn to, it’s got this vibrant energy and a bit of a rebellious streak that I just adore. Plus, Manchester has an incredible theater scene, so naturally, it’s a must-visit for a Tutu Queen like me!

Now, I’m a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to travel. You see, I adore the romanticism of the train journey, watching the world go by from my plush carriage seat. Imagine me, nestled in my own compartment, sipping tea (or shall we say a Pink Prosecco cocktail!) as the scenery rushes by. A vintage-style train journey feels just right for a Pink Tutu Sparkles, don’t you think? It feels so theatrical! Sometimes I like to go to a horse show too, especially on days when the sky is clear and the sun is shining! I love to sit with my mum and watch the horses gracefully navigate their way through the show! You wouldn’t think, seeing me all dressed up in pink sequins and glitter, that I would enjoy sitting with my mum and watching the horses.

You see, underneath the sparkles and the fabulousness, I’m a bit of a traditionalist at heart. I still hold on to some of my favourite memories from growing up in Derbyshire. It's beautiful, and the countryside is so calming, but it doesn’t always have the most exciting entertainment going on, which is why I have embraced my life on the road!

I was lucky enough to land a performance spot in a really fantastic venue in the heart of the city - an old theatre called The Lowry! You can just imagine me performing for you all on stage, dazzling you with my routines. Oh, and don't even get me started on the fabulous costumes. There will be some seriously sparkly, seriously pink ones, just for Manchester. Because why go anywhere without a statement outfit? It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkles appearance without it!

As soon as I arrive, I’m straight to the hotel - you know I have to freshen up before my show. Manchester will be treated to a truly fabulous spectacle, I promise you. There might even be some surprise guest appearances from the local talent - let’s just say I’ve got a few friends who adore making a dramatic entrance. And after the show? It’s time to hit the city, grab a bite, and dance the night away!

Manchester, I’m coming for you, and I’m bringing my signature Pink Tutu magic with me! Prepare yourselves, you glamorous lot, because you’re going to be amazed. Oh, and don’t forget to let me know your favorite local places! I'd love to add a bit of Manchester flair to my next blog post! Until then, darlings, keep sparkling!

Pink Tutu Sparkle’s 5 Favourite Manchester Secrets:

This time last year I went to the Lowry on a trip to Manchester. After I finished performing, I explored the town and realised that I have been keeping this to myself for too long! I love sharing all the cool and quirky places with my readers.

My favorite spots from the trip include…

  • The Manchester Arndale: It's not all about the shopping - though honestly, the shopping in Manchester is pretty amazing, especially the fashion in Affleck’s Palace, and I may have done a little spree there myself! It’s more about the vibe, darling. You get this really eclectic mix of stores, people, and everything just seems to blend together harmoniously!

  • The Northern Quarter: Oh darling! What is there NOT to love? It’s this little slice of vintage-chic loveliness, filled with quirky cafes, bohemian shops, and independent businesses that ooze creativity. I’m pretty sure I was tempted by every cupcake store there was - I'm all about a bit of afternoon tea!

  • The National Football Museum: A little bit of unexpected fun! I am all about sport, but not your standard football. I’m more into horse riding and ballet. But, honestly, this museum has an incredibly theatrical feel, I love exploring it. Think oversized jerseys, memorabilia that spans generations of the beautiful game. It’s worth the trip just to take a pic next to a full-size replica of the FA Cup.

  • The Canal Street: Where all the fabulous things happen. As a drag artist, I really enjoy finding out what is going on, what bars, pubs and nightclubs are the local’s hot spots, the atmosphere was electric.

  • The Manchester Art Gallery: The one I will never get tired of visiting. It’s the perfect balance between being beautifully modern and still holding some incredible classical pieces. And the building itself - so beautifully constructed with intricate details. You’re bound to have a lovely afternoon at this museum!

So my darling darlings, don’t be afraid to branch out from your usual haunts and try a few new things - you might be surprised what you find! And most of all, keep being fabulous.

Keep shining,

Pink Tutu Sparkles
