Hello, darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-loving queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and today we’re headed to Bournemouth! Buckle up your ballet shoes and grab a glass of sparkling lemonade, because this is going to be a fabulous ride! This is my 5,443rd post, folks, and it’s not getting any less sparkly, because *life is for celebrating! *
My darling Bournemouth, you've been calling my name. Ever since I saw the glistening waves, the sprawling sands, and the elegant pier on the telly last week, I just knew we were destined for a fabulous time together. Let’s face it, a drag queen like myself can’t say no to a seaside escape.
The journey was just as exciting as the destination. Now, I’m not one for long journeys on stuffy planes. I like to travel the old-fashioned way – by train! A train journey for me is a chance to catch up with my fellow travelers (and maybe even strike up a new friendship!), admire the countryside zipping by, and have some tea (oh darling, it’s all about that teatime ambiance, you know).
But let’s not forget the most important part of my travels – my luggage. Darling, you can't go anywhere without the perfect outfit! This time, I packed a new fluffy pink tutu from Harrods - a special one for the beach. I have to make sure every new location I go to gets its very own custom-made tutu, it’s the Pink Tutu Sparkles way! Now, you may think packing a tutu is simple, but there’s an art to it. You’ve got to have the right size case, darling, otherwise it will end up crumpled. And, of course, it's all about accessorizing. I never go without my matching pink ballet shoes, my dazzling crown (to remind everyone that I’m the queen of sparkle, obviously) and my shimmering pink sequins handbag. I do make sure to pick a suitcase big enough to store all my Pink Tutu Sparkles essentials though! It’s all in the planning!
Arriving in Bournemouth, my darlings, it felt like I had stepped onto a postcard! Bright sunshine, a crystal-clear sky, and the smell of salt air tickled my nose! It was magical! It instantly put me in a wonderful, optimistic mood!
Before venturing into the bustling heart of Bournemouth, I had to indulge my inner ballet dancer (we all have one!) and stop by a local ballet shop, darling! Let’s face it, even a Queen can't resist a new pair of ballet shoes! I ended up with the prettiest pair, pink of course (it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without a splash of pink!), with a dainty bow on the toe. Perfect for gliding across the Bournemouth dance floor, eh?
After my shopping spree, we walked towards the pier, soaking in the bright energy and joyous bustle. Honestly, I could hear my own heartbeat in that joyous energy, I felt a real buzz in the air! I was delighted by the sight of families, couples, and groups of friends enjoying themselves.
And darling, you won’t believe what I spotted: a group of children wearing pink tutus! That’s right! Little girls, strutting their stuff in the sweetest pink tutus imaginable! They were a picture of sheer delight. I couldn’t help but approach them and give them a high-five! It warms my heart so much to see future generations rocking a little pink magic!
Let’s just say the entire pier echoed with Pink Tutu Sparkles's laughter! The joy of seeing these little divas twirling away filled my heart with an overflowing sense of… well, sparkle! The children’s faces, so full of joy, showed me just how far a simple pink tutu can go. We must never underestimate the power of a splash of pink!
Our first stop was the magnificent Bournemouth Pier. What an iconic sight! It looked just like something from a beautiful film set. We strolled down the pier, admiring the sweeping views of the sea and the promenade, with its delightful parade of cafes, arcades, and shops. And let's not forget about the sweet sound of laughter and chatter of other joyful visitors! The atmosphere was delightful and simply electric!
Now, as a true Pink Tutu Sparkles fan, I knew the iconic Bournemouth beach had to be next on the list. Darling, let’s just say the sand between my sparkly ballet shoes was a sight to behold. With every step, the sand swirled beneath my pink tutu, making it look even more delightful. I can't deny, a touch of sand in my sparkly ballet shoes, though. This is the little inconvenience you face when a Pink Tutu Sparkles is living her best life, you know!
After all that walking, my darlings, it was time to get glam! I booked myself a private beach-themed boudoir shoot to capture a truly exquisite and sparkling memory. Just imagine me, Pink Tutu Sparkles, rocking my newest pink tutu on the beach, with the turquoise water glistening in the background. The soft sand was my runway, darling! This photoshoot was a perfect way to commemorate my day in Bournemouth. And trust me, darling, I'll be posting all of the fabulous pictures to www.pink-tutu.com. Look out for those, darling!
After the boudoir photoshoot, we settled into a beachfront hotel, its windows looking out onto the sea and the pier. I can’t imagine anything more divine! A good long soak in the hot tub overlooking the coast and I’m sure I will drift right off! We ate a wonderful fish and chips supper, watching the sun sink beneath the sea.
This Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure is only just getting started, though. Tonight, my darlings, I have a special performance at the iconic Bournemouth Pavilion! I am so thrilled to be dancing the night away in my new Pink Tutu Sparkles outfit. It will be the most dazzling, sparkling, and joyful event in Bournemouth! (Trust me on this one).
Every new place I go to, every show I do, it makes me so happy! And even after my first day in Bournemouth, I am already thinking about what outfit to bring next!
