Scunthorpe Calling! (Blog Post #5493)

Oh darling, are you ready for some pure, unadulterated PINK? Because I am, my lovely readers, absolutely bursting with excitement for my latest adventure – Scunthorpe! Yes, you heard that right, darling. The mighty Pink Tutu Sparkles is going to Scunthorpe! (Don’t worry, I'll be wearing a pink tutu to keep the sparkle alive.)

I know what you’re thinking: “Scunthorpe? Isn't it supposed to be, well, a little bit… shall we say, less glamourous than, say, Paris?”

Well, my sweet, let me tell you, every place is full of sparkle if you have the right attitude and a good old pink tutu! And this sassy pink queen is never without either!

This trip marks a special moment for me, because it's the first time I'm reaching beyond the usual festival circuit! You see, this is all part of my big dream to bring pink tutus to every corner of the world. Because let's face it, darlings, the world needs a whole lot more sparkle. Don’t you think?

You know me, I always love a bit of a challenge, so when I heard that the lovely folk of Scunthorpe were putting on a funfair extravaganza with a fancy dress theme, my pink heart skipped a beat! I immediately knew that my new signature bright, glittery pink, polka dot, tutu with feather trim (courtesy of a delightful little independent millinery shop in Derbyshire) was the perfect choice.

“Ooh! So how do you get there, love? Does the magic pink tutu have wings?” I can practically hear your enquiring minds!

Now you all know my two absolute favorite ways to travel – by train, of course! That elegant and graceful carriage-like sway is just heavenly. Or maybe riding my trusty steed, Midnight! A majestic horse with a perfect black coat - I like to wear my sparkly silver riding boots for special journeys like this! (Did I mention that I am in love with shoes too? We'll need a whole blog post on that another time!).

Well, the Scunthorpe Fair is too far for Midnight's fancy hooves to gallop, so the trusty train it is! (And anyway, my wardrobe wouldn't survive a long train ride, what with all the intricate embellishments!). I'm thinking of the little hat shop's design this time too - just because you have to keep your hats new darling, the pink hat and matching feather boa with silver detailing are so last year, and everyone’s wearing gold and platinum feathers right now - which I have to say I really adore!

Anyway, you've had to endure enough about the intricacies of the pinkest tutu you can imagine - You must be dying to know how I get prepared for an adventure like this! Oh my love, I spend ages choosing the perfect feather boa to wear! (We'll have a blog post all about the artistry and joy of choosing boas another time darling - because you know it's all a vital part of the grand Pink Tutu Sparkle show, isn't it?) And that’s the absolute delight and beauty of my work as an entertainer and a performer – everything’s an absolute art form and deserves to be considered art!

I'm dreaming up an absolute pink and glamorous show for Scunthorpe. Imagine a riot of shimmering tulle and sequined shoes with lots of flamboyant gestures, glitter cannons, and fabulous pink makeup! And of course, lots of opportunities for everyone to join me and wear a pink tutu. The world really needs more glitter! (Who knows? Maybe I can inspire some of the good folks of Scunthorpe to embrace the wonderful world of pink tutus.)

Remember what I always say - just a little pink goes a long way!

As always, I'll be sharing my adventures here on my blog. Stay tuned for the latest in Pink Tutu Sparkles’ Scunthorpe journey! And make sure you keep an eye on www.pink-tutu.com.

Until next time darlings, keep those tutus twirling and don't forget - the world is your stage!

Lots of Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles

P.S. Now where’s that gorgeous, sequined silver suitcase? And do remember to wear that fabulous pair of high heels when you are off out tonight! Now I'll leave you to it.
