As my train pulled into the station, I couldn't help but smile; Chatham was a welcome sight. It had all the vintage allure that makes me feel like a character stepping out of a classic film!

Did I mention I rode on a train to Chatham? I simply had to explore. Chatham's high street is just brimming with independent shops bursting with treasures ā so many of them decked out with a touch of Victorian elegance! I spent an afternoon just waltzing through the shops, scooping up little bits of glitter and charm. My own personal style guide (you know me, always fabulous) whispered in my ear, "Find something pink!" and I obliged, buying a shimmering pink feather boa for my upcoming performance.

Now, whatās a Pink Tutu Sparkles trip without a little dose of graceful beauty? Of course, I had to explore the local ballet studios, right? Chatham surprised me again - tucked away in a quiet side street, I found the sweetest little dance academy. Its warm interior and airy windows immediately reminded me of the childhood wonder of ballet studios! After spending a few minutes swooning over the charming decor (lots of pastel pink and dainty ballerina figures) I couldn't resist stepping into a ballet class, led by the kindest instructor who gave me the warmest welcome. It was an afternoon of twirling and leaps (with a few tips from a truly talented local dance instructor) and reminded me how ballet really is the most beautiful form of art. The elegant movement, the precision, the raw beauty, all topped off with the joy of graceful stepsā¦ just fabulous. Chatham is a real haven for all things ballerina and dance!
Of course, no grand day trip would be complete without the quintessential afternoon tea experience. And you wouldnāt believe the absolute joy I found at the charming old Victorian tearoom on the High Street! The place was so cute, decked out in those darling teacups and old floral chintz armchairs. It truly felt like I'd stepped into a vintage fairytale, filled with beautiful china and delicate teacups! It was so enchanting to sit and sip on warm, creamy tea and savor delectable, dainty sandwiches ā it truly transported me to another time and filled me with pure joy.
